SOURCE: HP LaserJet M5025 MFP scans

If you print the configuration pages from the administration>information menu and they look dark then you know that the printing system is working fine. If they are light as well, then it is possible that being shipped upside down resulted in some dirt getting into the laser scanner. The image original settings are kind of wonky, in that it is backwards to normal assumptions. Darkness refers to the actual orignal you are scanning, so in most cases if you have lighter origjnals then you need to set darkness lower. As well, check whether the image type is set for photo or text. Setting for text will result in darker scans.

I got the manual for my J3680 all in one printer, BUT

Hello

It sounds like the scanner/fax is not seeing the original document that you want to scan or fax.

Per Page 20 of the User Manual, the original needs to be placed face down in the document feeder. (The document feeder is on the top of the printer, behind the display.)

When you insert the original, make sure the leading edge is sliding into the top of the printer (towards the front of the printer).

Per the user manual, you should hear a beep and/or see a message on the display stating the loaded pages were detected.

If you are not hearing the beep or seeing the message, your original is not loaded correctly - try sliding it further into the printer.

Witch way does the paper go up or down when you fax

Hello,

Either way. The tray on the top is the conventional paper feeder for fax (this is where you manually fax single paper) and the tray on the bottom is your "Automatic Document Feeder" in which can hold 20 page unattended fax or copy.

hope this helps. Don't forget to rate.
