SOURCE: My Rancilio Epoca E1 espresso machine has no steam

It is possible that the reset connected to the boiler tripped.

SOURCE: rancilio epoca 2 head machine. Lights are flashing

Machine is not heating, the lights should flash until it heats up to 1.2 bar on the top gauge. If not check the water level in the machine and check the red reset switch to see if the thermostat tripped.

SOURCE: my rancilio epoca s1 won't start.

HI
Without being in front of it, there are a couple of things to check.
1. There is a reset button on top of the boiler. It is a black top with a red button in the center between 2 wires.
2. The water tank needs to be emptied and then refilled. That is the first things I would check.

New rancilio epoca s tank I turn on the switch 1, the boiler is filled and is activated. ok once the boiler is filled i turn resistance switch 2 ...but it doesnt work.

It should take about a 1/2 hour to warm up, are any lights flashing? Is the light on the second switch green? If not you might want to take off the left panel and find the thermal reset. Its mounted to the top side and has a little red button facing you. Press that to reset the unit.
Goodluck!

My rancilio epoca will not turn on

Sounds like the reset switch tripped, remove top panel and reset red push in switch close to the element.

At the end of initial pressure-up after first turning my Epoca on in the morning, the pressure goes past 'normal' until it blows the escape valve. What is wrong? Thanks. Matt

The vent valve is stuck in the open position, leave the steam wand open, while the machine is heating until you hear it hissing, then close steam wand and machine should heat up properly. Replace the vent valve as soon as possible.

Rancilio epoca - heating element continue to stick on

It's the thermostat for certain.

Te release valve is put there it be sure the tank pressure doesn't get too high such as to cause a steam explosion/rupture of the tank.
