My Tv no longer registers a signal from the antenna. I can see a picture thruogh my smart DVR and Chromecast but no pic with TV antenna. I bought a new antenna, still no signal.

Hi there, fastest way to determine this is by using your smartphone and through settings/Bluetooth, search for available devices. If it shows up, then you're good. This all depends on whether the tv is set to 'findable'. elsewise, I would review the tv's menus settings.

Depends what you want to accomplish. To play videos or pictures on TV you will need additional device like fire stick, chromecast, roku and more.

If you want to play it on your tablet and view on your tv. If you do not have a smart tv you can do it but you need a chromecast . About 30 bucks at best buy . Plugs into your hdmi in back of your tv. I highly recommend it because you can do so much with it. You havr to download an app on your tablet or even your phone! Way cool. Once you set it up you can view anything on your tv that your seeing on your phone. Pictures movies even play music! Its called casting and that little chromecast thing makes any tv a smart tv. Obviously you need Internet as well. But you can open netflix youtube even your personal pictures or Facebook right on your tv. And if you have a nice sound system on your tv you can jam out by casting music. Takes a little info but set it up once and your good to go!

If the TV is receiving its signal from a cable TV box or DVR then you need to find out if the problem is in the TV or the cable box/DVR. That TV will longer work with any Antenna by itself..the reason is a few years back the government mandated all TV signals will be HD. they sent out HD receiver boxes to allow old non HD TV's receive HD signals...I have a TV in my camper with the receiver Works great...Just see if you can locate one..there were thousands sent out..so they are out there Try Ebay..good luck.

Try attaching a tv signal amplifier between the antenna and the tv.

Are you able to test the DVr with hdmi with another television?
