During spin cycle machine runs for 20 sec then stops.After opening and closeing door it runs again for 20sec then stops.Tried re-arranging laundry for balance but still same problem.

Washing machines kick off when they're out of balance, like if something is too heavy and waterlogged on one side. Redistribute the laundry and it will be fine.

GETTING STARTED
1. Load your washer.
2. Close the door.

Push the laundry into the drum completely to prevent the laundry from being caught in the door or
....... from falling out of the drum.
3. Press the Power button.
4. Add detergent and additives to the dispenser (page 20-21).
5. Select the appropriate cycle and options for the load (page 14-16).
6. Press the Start/Pause
7. The Wash Indicator light will illuminate.
8. The estimated cycle time will appear in the display.
The time may fluctuate to better indicate the time remaining in the cycle.
The actual time required for a cycle may differ from the estimated time in the display depending on the
water pressure, water temperature, detergent, and laundry.
9. Before your washer starts to fill, it will make a series of clicking noises to check the door lock and do a
quick drain.

When the cycle is complete, the door lock light will go out and "End" will appear in the display.

Instructions

1. Close the lid or door. Washing machines automatically stop when the lid or door is open. Lift the clothing and move it slightly. If the washing machine is overloaded with towels or heavy garments, it might become unbalanced. The washer won't run until the items are adjusted.
   
2. High-efficiency machines might stop running when regular detergent is used or too much high-efficiency laundry soap is poured in. If you suspect that the laundry soap is the problem, cancel the cycle and press the "Spin" or "Drain" cycles. Restart the cycle, but do not add more detergent.
   
3. Inspect the water outlets. Turn faucets to the left to ensure that both the hot and cold water hoses are open. Tug on the hoses to make sure they are attached and inspect the hoses for thin spots that might be causing leaks. Make sure the hoses aren't kinked. Detach the hoses and run clean water through them to remove clogs.
   
4. Is the washer's cord plugged into a grounded outlet? Never use extension cords to power washing machines. Check the circuit box for blown fuses.
   

try locking your settings by pressing your locking button for 3 or 4 secs till the red lock shows.and see what happens..it might work..good luck

in all cycle with seven min left washer, m-c45092 stop and door open no spin cycle. pete.

check the lid switch,it is located in the area where the lid lands on the washer housing when closed it is a safety feature that shuts off the machine if you open the door during the spin cycle,they can get touchy due to vibration from running,also check your balance ring,if you have a severly unbalanced load it will stop the machine

more likely an itntermitent lid switch problem as the washer strats it's spin cycle the motion is causuning the lid switch to open making the washer think some one has opened the lid and it shuts down to be safe check the switch make sure it hasn't come loose and check the actuator on the lid sometimes a plastic piece near the front of the lid that goes into sort of a key hole Good Luck

I would say that based on your problem description that the lid /door switch has a loose or faulty contact .. If you open and close it a few times..it starts to spin and yet when you open it.. it doesn't always stop the spinning.. It is either the switch or the actuator that bumps that switch.. That is where I would begin diagnosing the problem... Hope that helps..
