When lights on front of washer do not correspond with cycle the washer is in, short agitation cycle 3 minuets

In regular wash cycle washer fills then only agitates for 3 min. then soaks 15 min, agitates again 1 min. drains, rinses, spins, wash light stays on through all cycles, starts over during second cycle spin light stays on from agitate to finish, only agitates 1 min. twice, Is it shift actuator. thank you kirk

sounds like you have a tub seal problem, which took out the bearings, I take it one buzy mom does lots of laundry! Maybe time for a new washer.

Check your timer and make sure that it is working correctly with a multi meter

SOURCE: maytag PAV2300AWW Washer makes grinding sound when agitating

Sounds like it is the bearing on the water pump. Take off back plate and replace and remove 3 screws and two hoses (the one hose is a waste line so make sure you have a bucket to empty our waste water) after removing these remove belt on bottom of pump.

Will only work on cycle, will not agitate in the other cycles

Thanks for your question You say it works on one cycle but not the other lets sat you start a regular wash ,the washer should fill ,wash for the minutes you have set, pump out the water #spin , Stop fills & rinse stop pump out water &spin If you try a delicate cycle and it does not do what it did on regular cycle . No agitation in ge hydrowave rinse cycles

you must unplug the washer for just 1 minute open and close the lid 10 times and plug it back in and put it on a light load cycle and let it wash with empty load. shoul work fine after that
