Hi bill. Where is the safery valve located? I thought it might have been a relay or a fuse. Its a diesel truck but the gear lever is on a switch

Clark forklifts have a safety device on the brake pedal hydraulics that prevents movement when lifting the forks
check the operation of that safety device as it may be jammed in the neutral position

the valve that I am referring to is situated on top of the transmission and has a "T" joint into the brake hydraulics
failing that maybe it is best to talk with a clark service shop and get a proper diagnosis done as to the cause of the problem

Normally on these the micro switches inside the F&R lever fail, that is where i would start, check them with a multi meter, then you have the detent switch for the neutral position but normally this will stop the truck starting, check the hand brake switch as this also cuts drive, failing that these trucks have diodes in various places taped to the main look these effect the drive operation.
