I OPENED DOOR TO ADD CLOTHES. hOW DO I RESET TO START WASH CYCLE NEW AND CLEAR SPIN?

sound like an electrical circuit problem..I had to have mine changed. There are circuit boards that control these functions.

Yes there is, pull out power cord for 5mins or so. Plug it to power again, then wait to washer to clear water so door can be unlocked.

First you need to open the cabinet and remove the boot from the tub to the pump and clear the filter. Try that then run a cycle and post back the results.

1. Stopped Mid-cycle
   • If your Frigidaire washing machine started spinning, but then stopped, verify that the power cord is still connected to the outlet. See if the outlet blew by plugging in a different appliance into the outlet. See if you blew a fuse. A blown fuse usually is either black or has broken wires. Replace the fuse. If you have a circuit breaker instead of a fuse box, reset the circuit breaker if it's been tripped. Check the lid switch, which is located inside the main housing of the washing machine, near the door frame. If the switch is burned out, order a new part from a Frigidaire parts dealer.
     
   Pump
   • The pump's sole responsibility is to remove water during the spin cycle. If the pump isn't working properly, see if it's clogged with debris or clothing. Use needle-nose pliers to remove these items. Check the pump pulley, which is connected to the pump. This component must move freely for the pump to work. If it won't turn, purchase a new pump pulley since you can't usually fix this component.
     
   Lid
   • Check the door latch assembly if the door isn't closing correctly. If any of these components are broken, order a new part from a Frigidaire parts dealer. If you do not, the washer won't start spinning since it believes the door isn't closed. Your Frigidaire washing machine won't start the spin cycle until the lid or door is closed. Always close the lid, and remove any items preventing the lid from fully closing. Always close the dispenser drawer.
     
   Additional Concerns
   • Never over- or under-load your washing machine. Your Frigidaire washer may not enter the spin cycle if the load is too large, since this can damage the washing machine. Remove a few pieces of clothing. If the load is too small, add a few similar items to the washing machine. Check the internal belt, drive motor and motor coupling. If any of these components are broken or very worn, they may not work properly, preventing the washer from entering the spin cycle. Order replacement parts from a parts dealer. Check the tub and basket bearings, and get new ones if the current ones have broken components or are defective.

Open the front door and load the clothing into the washing machine. Check the owner's manual for the maximum load size. Overloading the washing machine may interfere with its ability to spin the clothes and rinse them clean.

Fill the detergent receptacle on the front of the washing machine, making sure not to fill it past the indicated line. Always use a liquid detergent that is designed for front-loading washing machines.

Add bleach or fabric softener, if needed. Most front-loading washing machines have a section for fabric softener inside the detergent receptacle. Check the instructions on the bleach to find out when it should be added to the washing machine.

Close the front door of the washing machine and make sure it locks into place. The machine usually will not turn on unless the door is securely locked.

Check the owner's manual to find out how to select the different options and wash cycles. As a general rule, use warm or cold water for most types of colored clothing. Hot water should only be used when washing white cotton items.

Start the front-loading washing machine and let it run through the entire wash, rinse and spin cycles before opening the door to unload the clothing.

Your problem could be one of the following:

* electronic control board

* door lock/switch assembly

your mach depending on model and cycle selected has a 3 to 5min "add a garment" feature.that means in the 1st 3-5mins of cycles when add a garment light is lit you may hit pause button once and the mach will stop and unlock door.after add a gament light is off,if u hit pause the cycle the mach will drain water and reset cycle..hope this helps

Not all Options and Modifiers are available with all cycles. Cycles,
Options and Modifiers can be changed anytime before HOLD TO
START is selected.
Options and Modifiers can be changed anytime after HOLD TO
START is selected and before the start of the selected Option or
Modifier.
To cancel a cycle and select a new cycle
1. Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice.
2. Select desired cycle.
3. Select the desired OPTIONS.
4. Select HOLD TO START (for approximately 1 second) to
restart the washer at the beginning of the new cycle.
To cancel a cycle
1. Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice.
2. The washer powers down, the door unlocks, and clothes can
be removed.
NOTE: If the water level or the temperature is too high, the
washer will drain automatically before the door unlocks.
To change Options or Modifiers after the cycle has started
1. Select PAUSE/CANCEL.
2. Select the desired OPTIONS or MODIFIERS.
3. Select HOLD TO START (for approximately 1 second) to
continue the cycle.
To drain the washer manually
1. Select PAUSE/CANCEL.
2. Select DRAIN/SPIN.
3. Select HOLD TO START (for approximately 1 second) to
begin the drain.
4. When the spin is complete, the door unlocks. Items can be
removed from the washer.

Not really. Even if it lets you it will pump out the water first. This kind of defeats the purpose. If it didn't pump out the water it would spill on the floor.
