Hi, Hook audio/ video cable from dvd player to AV input of tv and select that AV input in tv to watch dvd playback picture. You will see yellow jack (for video signal output) and red-white jacks (for audio left-right output signal) at rear of dvd player, plug AV Cable and hook it in AV input of tv, make sure yellow pin connected in yellow jacks of dvd and tv. Thanks.
Firstly, please make sure you have connected the SCART cable correctly. This should be connected to a SCART OUT socket on the DVD player to one of the SCART IN or EXT sockets on the rear of the TV.
If you have correctly connected the SCART cable the TV should automatically switch to the AV channel when you switch the DVD player power on or insert a disc.
Switch your TV on, then switch the DVD player off and then on again. If the TV does not change to the AV channel you may have the SCART cable connected incorrectly.
Not all TVs automatically switch to the AV channel when the AV device is switched on. On some TVs the AV input is on channel 0 or 99. On other TVs the AV input is not assigned to a specific channel. On these TVs you need to look for a button marked "AV", "INPUT" or "SOURCE" - either on the TV remote or on the buttons on the front of the TV. The easiest way to do this is to insert a disk into the DVD player and start it playing. Then press the "AV" "INPUT" or "SOURCE" button (whichever one you have) repeatedly until you find the signal from the DVD player.
Please check your connections and try using the "AV" "INPUT" or "SOURCE" buttons. If you are still unable to watch your DVD player, please post back with the following information:
1. Model number of the Bush TV 2. Brand and model number of the DVD player 3. If you are using any remote other than the ones supplied with the TV or DVD player, the brand and model number of the remote.
I will then be able to tell you exactly how it should be connected and which buttons (if any) you need to press to access the AV channel.
first check if you are plugged in the right place,(you're tv as 2 a/v inputs).then you should be able to acces a/v by the menu button on you're remote,or even on the t.v. itself.well good luck then buddy, hope this helps.. btw,are you plugged in a/v (yellow, white, red) style,s-video(1cable)style,componentstyle(green,blue,red).check that out man!
the difference between tv and av, is that av has no showers on the screen. if you change to av you will notice a blue screen, connect your yellow on vedio output and white/ red on audio out of tv
note- before connecting to a vedio touch a tip of your vedio cable some lines will show on your screen, if touch your audio tip harming noise will sound on your tv. if this two happens then you know that your cables are okey. hold your channel button on your tv, channel will start runing after all rf channels finish, tv will go to av.
Usually "ROOT" is an indication that the player has read the DVD.
ROOT means that the DVD is in the main menu screen.
Sounds like the DVD player is ok, but you may have a loose connection somewhere.
Check all of your AV connections between the TV and DVD.
Also make sure that the TV is set to the same AV channel as the connection you are using.
E.G. if you have connected the DVD to the AV 1 socket of the TV, make sure that the TV is set to channel AV 1.
Connect the video cable to the players VIDEO (CVBS) OUT (yellow) jack and to the TV's VIDEO IN jack.
Connect the audio cable to the players 'AUDIO LEFT' (white) and 'RIGHT' (red) output and the TV's 'AUDIO LEFT/RIGHT' input jacks.
After it is hooked up, you will need to select the TV’s video input channel that corresponds to the jacks connecting the player to the TV.
Press STANDBY-ON to turn on the player.
Turn ON the TV. Note: Video Input selection varies for different brands/models of TVs. Consult the user manual or manufacturer or your TV if none of the below is successful.
Press channel 2 on your TV. Then press the channel down button to locate the video input channel. (This channel is usually located between the lowest and highest TV channels.) OR
For some TVs, there may be a button on the TV’s remote control that accesses the video input channel labeled SOURCE, AV or SELECT. OR
Select the Video InputChannel from the TV’s on-screen menu system.

Use your TVs remote and select AV usisng the TV/AV button.
Most DVD players use the AV Cables to connect to TVs.Yellow Video Out to Video IN of TV, REd and White Audio Left and Right to Audio L and Audio R IN of TV.
how many av inputs do you have on that tv? is it more than one? make sure you choose the right input. if that is not the problem then you are having a problem with av section in the tv
I suggest that you take it to a repair man to get it fixed or you can use the RF cable to connect it to your tv. it is not the best but is saloution to the problem..good luck
