there's a forgot password option, it's easier if you do the forgot password on a device you've used before on google. You can skip the google account on your phone initially to get the rest of it setup to access the internet. Anyway, the forgot password options should have an option you can use to get it reset.
If you can't get in your tablet because you forgot your password, the only way in, is to reset the tablet and setting up the tablet from scratch. You will lose all data, like contact lists, notes, images, and all apps, you did not backup on a computer or in the cloud.
Setting up a password protection on a tablet, was to prevent anyone without password to be able to access your data. Now you forgot the password, you are excluded to the information too.
If there was a general code to unlock every password, that would make the security a farce and worth nothing.
