My emerson lc320em9 tv will no longer pick up any cable channels but hdmi input works

Page 5 says you can access your cable channels

The power supply board is at fault. You have a shorted diode. Location of this diode is D639. Replace it with an NTE 5087A. The board you will fix, has the power AC cord attached to it! Thanks for asking, Matt of Martins TV.

Make sure your X Box is switched to component and not hdmi.

Most of these the tuner lays flat on that board and is nearly impossible to get out without destroying the board.

A simple suggestion is why not if you have a cable box with audio/video outputs on it----connect from there to one of the inputs on the back of the set---select that input and bingo you have bypassed the tuner and are changing channels with the box

If you do not have a box but have cable TV or sat the cost for the box should be nominal even over time compared to replacing the board if you can even find that board---Emerson is a name someone bought to use like Westinghouse and both are known for poor availability of parts.

Have you considered bypassing the TV tuner?

if the cable are securely connected, check the input source on the TV. test it from VGA to Digital to HDMI to see which best works for you. the input source will depend on the actual cable/converter you got,

How old is the tv if you have jammed the inputs or the cords they may be just done replacements parts can be on shopjimmy.com

Ur tv front screen panel power LED light indicator flashes?Check ur power source like the plug in outlet yet?Yes,Than.The power supply board it dead.That the board where the a/c power cord plug into it.Take the tv aparts,replaced the power supply board.Ur tv will have power again and work.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Change another HDMI cable.Should work,not reset all setting in tv.

Check your settings for digital video input in your menu. You may need to switch your video input for the HDMI to work properly.

If you only wish to power the TV off/on with the remote, there is an alternative. Plug the TV into the outlet on the back of the Comcast box. In the Setup Menu for the Comcast box there is an option to make the outlet switched or unswitched. Select SWITCHED then the TV will turn on/off with the Comcast box. The
LC320em9 will maintain the previously selected input.
