How do I fix one key being louder than others?

The G above middle C is louder than other notes. I tried the reset where you hold down the highest C while holing down the power button and turning it on. That didn't work.

This will be a problem with the key contact sending the wrong velocitiy. To verify, hook it up to a midi source and see if the same thing happens in the connected device. If so, it will need to go into the shop for repair.

Hey, I had the same problem. You just have to off the Keyboard (by pressing the standby/on button).

Now hold the last key / highest key.
Keep holding it
And
On the keyboard while holding it.

Problem will be solved.

The ACMP, when chosen, instead of playing chords, is silent. How do I fix this? I have the Yamaha E333 keyboard.

You may have turned down the volume internally.
Carry out a factory reset - Hold down top C key (highest note) whilst turning the keyboard on.
Hopefully this will rest everything and it will work again.

3 key notes not working and can't write my savings to the banks..

Hi, You can reset your whole keyboard by holding down the top C ( highest key ) whilst turning on.

This is unlikely to clear 3 non working keys. My guess is that the contacts under the rubber switches have worn or dust is under the contacts. You could try cleaning first under the rubber contacts if this fails replace the contacts ( 1 per octave ) Part WF212202 contact me if you need more information

My Yamaha PRS-293 will not play any of the E keys or the Bflat keys. I reset it once (power up while holding the highest note key) which fixed it once. Now it won't fix it. The MIDI plays all of the notes.

The key switches are scanned as a matrix. One of the matrix wires has broken or connector/cable is not making it... It will be a connection in common with the non-working keys.

Here is schematic:

http://elektrotanya.com/yamaha_psr-293_sm.pdf/download.html

On page 40 on the board labelled 61H-MK and the connector DMLCD-CN401 the connections to pins 11 and 12 with signal names N14 and N24 have become broken or disconnected before they get to the processor board.

Since these lines are NEAR an edge, the cable could be not quite in the connector at one end or the other. These two wires are what triggers the E and the A# key signals. There are TWO contacts per key as one closes first then the other... this is how they measure key velocity.
