How to move files to sd card - Tablets & eReaders

Go to File Manager, This Computer, the folder with the items. Select each item while holding Control and Mouse click. Right click one of the files and select Copy or Cut (copy is safer in case this does not work for some reason, you'll still have the originals.)
Go back up in the directory to This Computer. Click on the SD card. When it opens, right click the window and select Paste. The files will move to the SD card.

First, go to Settings > Storage and check if the "Default write disk" is set to "SD card". Then go to Settings > Apps and swipe to the left until you get to "SD card". Below will be all the Apps that can be be moved to the external SD card. Click in the box on the right and another page will come up. About in the middle of the page will be "MOVE TO SD CARD" tab. Tap on it and wait until it finishes. Then go back and pick another App to move. You should be able to download apps directly to the external SD card. I haven't done that on this device and not all apps will download to the external SD card (the app maker can restrict downloads to only the internal memory. This tablet is one of the rare few Android devices that allow moving Apps to external memory.

Your cel phone download path is the internal storage, modify the download path to SD card or move files to sd to gain space.

The files are probably saved to a virtual image of the SD card. In order to actually get them written to the card, you would have to tell the operating system to unmount, eject or otherwise remove the SD card before physically removing it. Usually a restart or shutdown will do the same thing. The operating system will then write the image to the SD card, and if it is not doing a restart or shutdown, may tell you it is safe to remove the card.

This is done to increase the lifetime of the card. Every time you write to it, it wears out a little. Consequently, the system waits until you are done working with the file before doing the writing so it doesn't waste writes on stuff that will be edited right away.

Move Apps to SD Card Using Application Manager

1. Navigate to settings on your phone.You can find the settings menu in the app drawer.
2. Tap Application Manager.
3. Select an app you want to move to the microSD card.
4. Tap the Move to SD Card button. If you don't see a Move to SD Card button, the app cannot be moved.
