Maybe. Reopen the browser and look is really the only way to know for sure. Usually when you bookmark something it's created right then, so unless it froze *as you told it to bookmark,* you should have it.

I would like to delete some unwanted bookmarks

Which browser are you using? Safari, Firefox, Chrome?
In each browser it varies slightly, but basically just click on Bookmarks menu to show all bookmarks. If you are using a standard Mac mouse or touchpad, use 2 fingers to click on the offending bookmark and from the menu that appears select delete, send to trash, etc. If you are using a PC type mouse. click the right mouse button and select the appropriate delete option.

Setup Menu

If you can't remember where you filed that one bookmark, search for it directly from the address bar. Type the name of the bookmark and look for the [STAR] icon next to the results that appear, which indicates matches from your bookmarks.
You can also see all your bookmarks in 3 places:
  • Bookmarks bar: The bar is docked under your address bar by default for easy access. If you don't see it, you can find it by opening a new tab. To toggle the display of the bar, just press Ctrl+Shift+B
  • Bookmarks menu: Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar and select Bookmarks.
  • Bookmark manager: The bookmark manager makes it easy for you to organize bookmarks. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar and go to Bookmarks > Bookmark manager.
Use bookmark folders to keep your bookmarks organized. To create a folder, right-click the bookmarks bar and select Add folder.
Hope this helps!

How do i add a website icon to my desktop to eliminate typing my way there each time? .

Another way to do this is a little more complicated, but works just as well - if not better.
Select the icon for your internet browser already on your desktop. Copy the icon and paste it onto your desktop.
Now right-click on this new icon and click "Properties"
Click on the "Target" field, there will text in quotation marks in this field. At the end of the quotation mark, add a space after the last mark and then type in the internet address you want your new shortcut to go to (i.e. "C:Program FilesMozilla Firefox irefox.exe" www.examplesite.com), when Firefox is your browser. Now click "OK" in the dialog box.
Go ahead and change the name of this new shortcut to whatever you want. When you double-click this link, it will open up your website!
