Change Kindle Fire Default Language. Open up the notification bar by swiping from the top of the screen down, and tap More. In the Settings menu select the "Language& Keyboard" category. Now all that's left to do is select your preferred language.
Click on the icon that looks like small square dots. from there look for Settings. Click on Settings > Then scroll to find Language and click here. Then find the English and set it to English.
In Spanish, Settings = Ajustes and English is Ingles
Power on,unlock then tap the top right corner with the 6 squares. Once on the apps page look for the one that has what looks like blue volume dials.it says "Idioma" You may have to slide to the next page. Once done done click on the icon with the letter A "Telcado e idioma" then tap on the top right tab that says "Idioma" scroll down to English(United states) that's it. You may have to change the time zone also. But I found that some apps names were still in spanish? But everything else was good.
