The touchscreen is way off and I cannot access the settings menu due to the calibration being off.
SOURCE: My touchscreen will not work
unfortunately there is no quick fix for this as far as i know. my first impression (that i only had for 3 1/2 months) decided to completely freeze the touchscreen, when i had absolutely no water damage and had never dropped it. i tried EVERYTHING took out the battery and the sim for an entire day, turned it on and off, and nothing worked. One thing i know, try your best not to drop this phone because my friend also had to get a new one because she dropped it several times, and they are VERY sensitive, and dropping it throws off the calibration, as does getting liquid on the screen. I went to a local at&t store and they said I would be eligible for a new phone because I had not caused the phone to stop working, but they could not give me one at the local store. i went to a DSC (device service center) for at&t, and the guy took one look at my phone, tried to play around with it, and within a couple minutes said I would be receiving a new phone that day. I received a new phone, and even got my numbers and my sim transferred for me. if your phone continues to freeze up, definitely bring it in. hope this helps :)

Hi,
To recalibrate follow this procedure.
Go to setting>phone setting>calibrate
The calibrate screen pops up follow the screen and with the finger or stylus click on the cross image. It will ask for 2-5 times until it is able to detect your response time. Then save the changes.
If you are not able go into menu settings. To make the calibration to Factory setting.(Take back up of all data)
Reset is the only option if you want to take it to the Factory setting.
If you want get it back to factory settings.
full reset:*2767*3855#
default code:000000
If still after the old calibration if you have problem with the touch screen.
Take apart the screen and remove all the dirt and water particles.
If still you have the problem check for any internal component failure.Check flex is properly placed into the socket. If it is defective
Replace flex cable.Flex cost is around $10.
post a comment for further assistance.
