Why can't my tablet move apps to SD card?

Most apps are not written for nor can they be run from an SD card, as SD card access speed is not the same as internal RAM speed. Also, app writers avoid it since it complicates the app structure having to allow for use with or with out SD cards.

sd card is automatically recognized, however you need to

- set default storage as sd card
- also move apps and data to sd card from memory/storage setting menu individually.
Yet many apps occupy main ram and refuse to release space

Try some highly rated free Android cleanup tools from Play Store.
I have a couple I use on my cell phone that work great. Android tablets are very similar to computers and can get clogged up with temp files and also corrupted clutter. CM security, Clean master, one tap boost.. These work nicely.. Or try Avast - I use it on my computers and phone.. It has coverage on about everything for protection.

I just got my irulu 4.2 Jellybean tablet and this is my first time dealing with ... I know you can't install/use an Android app on a pc but all I want to do is load it onto .... As soon as the irulu tries to open the dl'ed file, it will bring up the ... I just bought my daughter a irulu 7 in tablet and it is driving me crazy she is ...

By default they're downloaded to SD card. What's the problem? Just move them afterwards to ExtSD if you want.
Another way (if you have your device rooted and familiar with Unix commands) is to change system start-up parameters to mount ExtSD as a /sdcard/download from terminal application.

Most apps do not natively install to an SD card when downloaded from the play store. You have to have an app like AppManager, that has a function to 'move' apps from internal storage to an SD card, or use a manual option in the Android Settings section to move each app individually.. If you are that tight on space that you cannot load any new app, you may have to delete or move something from your internal storage so you can download AppManager or some similar app, and then move as many apps as you can to your SD card. If you have a lot of photos and music you can try moving that to the SD card if your player/viewer software will allow you to find it there. Best way to move bulk items (music/photos, not apps) is to connect to a PC through USB, which brings up your internal storage and the SD card as external USB storage items. Then copy from internal storage to SD card through your PC. Best to establish folders on the SD card to hold these items and then tell your app where they are.

I figured it out Apps that I downloaded I can move to SD card while apps that were pre-loaded on the tablet can't be moved to SD-Yet when I move downloaded apps I get back MB even with clean master.

Hi in order to move apps to sd card you need place the sd card in your tablet go to settings then applications. On the next screen you've got the list of downloaded apps just clik on one of them and then properties screen come up on which in the second row you will see button move to sd card. Just press on it wait few seconds and your apps is moved. Repeat this for every app but bear in mind that some of the apps can't be moved to sd card Regards

You may need more space--try deleting data or apps from the tablet's internal memory. Move what you can to external memory--probably your micro-SD card (if available, and that's possible--given certain apps, that may not prove possible). Always, it's a great idea to take some time to delete data, cache (temporary memory) and apps proving harmful or no longer necessary! Your micro-SD card (or other compatible external storage) generally isn't included with tablets or phones--you may purchase the cards at stores or online.

There should be a SD or MicroSD slot on the outside of the case, this will not void the warranty. The internal storage is most likely soldered on and not removable. Use the built in features of Android or an app like Link2SD to move apps to your expansion SD card.
