Question about Epson Xp-400 Small In One
Makes copy fine off scanner. Won't print off computer at all. In fact one minute it's okay next it just stopped.

Here is the link for all the documentation, troubleshooting and drivers for your printer. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=58773&prodoid=56291070&infoType=Downloads&platform=Windows If you go through the troubleshooting guide, hopefully you will find an answer - with the info you gave I had no luck, but the procedure is quite detailed, so you may have more idea what answers to give. The next thing to try is to uninstall and reinstall the drivers - on the link above you can download the latest versions. This ,may solve the problem and is simple enough to do (ask for more help if you have trouble with this procedure). The only other thing that maybe worth doing is to give the whole machine a gentle shake just in case the scanner carriage mechanism is somehow jammed - sometimes a shake or a slap can free this. Hope this helps, if not please post again :)

The Scanner has died. If you Know someone else who has the same model but is not printing but scanning fine you can swop over the scanners. This solution don't work 100% of the time but i have fixed a few this way.

Possible hardware failure, unfortunately.
Turn it off. Then unplug it from your computer and unplug it from the wall too.
Plug it directly into a working power source. Then turn it on.

The only things that can cause a scanner error on this unit is a complete scanner harware failure or the scanner lock. With the unit on lock the transport lock and unlock it a few times quite forcibly. Then leave it in the unlocked position and power off and on again. If the light returns then at his point I think a new printer will be needed.
