My Electrolux F/Loader won't start filling. I select a wash cycle and start . The screen shows 'filling' but only makes clicking noises.

I've cleaned the filter several times. It now commences filling for 5secs and cuts out. It now only makes a humming noise. Please help!

Thank you for your post, friend!
I see that your Electrolux washer won't fill during the cycle and makes a clicking sound. This clicking sound could come from either the motor or the water valve. In order to locate which component could be causing the issue you may need to disassemble your washer. I would recommend having a professional technician out to properly disassemble the washer to prevent any personal injuries or future issues. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

SOURCE: Whirlpool LGR7648KQ1 top loader washer

Hi It appears that- You have a clogged water pump inlet filter. Normally located at the bottom of the machine there should be a 1"-2" disk that you need to rotate half turn to release. Be aware that a large quantity of water is likely to drain when you open it. Good luck

SOURCE: frigidaire front washer has power but won't fill up, drain or go through correct cycles

You'll very likely have something caught in your drain pump. First set the washer to drain and spin. If you hear a hum or grinding noise and the water in the tub isn't draining or it's draining slowly you have something in the pump. If you take the rear panel off you'll reveal the drain pump at the right front corner or maybe middle on this model. if you empty all the water from your machine you can take off the spring clamp (this can be tricky) attaching the thick rubber hose from your tub to your drain pump. (you may want to have some old towels ready) With this off you can feel around for what's blocking the drain pump's impeller. You may want to take the screws out that secure the drain pump to the base and the other spring clamp that attaches the drain hose to the drain pump. Good luck!

SOURCE: GE washing machine does not run, gives humming noise

A washing machine is a simple product.

When trouble shooting anything you have to know what is supposed to do and what is it not doing.

At the begining of a washing machine cycle the machine fills with water until a switch is made telling the machine it is full and ready to agitate. Since it never fills it will stick in that part of the cycle.

When you start a cycle and no water enters the drum you have one of three problems:

1. The water supply is shut off.
2. The solenoid valve that supplies the water is not opening.
3. No power to the washing machine.

Since you are hearing a hum, the machine seems to be trying to activate that valve,
The humming noise comes from the electromagnetic field that activates the valve,

Electrolux EWT1567VDW top-loader skips the entire cycle and only goes through its last minute. Does anybody know how to enter the service mode on this model through the touch screen?

Touch the START/PAUSE sensor and the nearest option sensor simultaneously and hold for at least 2 seconds: the LCD display shows the last alarm. The alarm will continue to be displayed until a sensor is touched.

Electrolux washer playing up!

Remove the top panel, there should only be 2 or 3 screws on the back of the panel, then slide the top panel back about 1/4 inch and it should lift off. Look to see if the belt has come off. Post your results back.

Our electrolux front loader Washing Machine EWF 1083 won't fill with water and there is a humming sound, does anyone know what the problem is ? cheers

Just a long shot - it may be the water inlet filter is blocked? normally there is a little mesh filter in the hose that screws onto the back - check that its not full of crap. This happened to me only a few weeks ago hope its as simple as that for you.

MY GE front loader washer won't fill with water or spin. I hear a hum when I turn it on and it sounds as if it's about to start a cycle but nothing happens.

It sounds as if your water valve is either clogged or the solenoid is stuck and not letting any water in. Here is a checklist of things you should do to help isolate the problem:
1) check to make sure the water is on
2) turn the water off and remove the water lines and verify that both the lines and the screens on the valve are clear of debris, calcium, etc.
3) take the top off the machine where you can actually see the valve, turn the machine on and see if the vavle is the humming noise that you are hearing. If so and no water is coming out then the valve is bad.
