How do i reset counter series in Canon Copiers

Do you mean the page counter?
If you mean that, sadly, you can't reset that, even if you do a firmware reset, you won't success, you have to change the mainboard, PCB

been googling for quite a while looking for the correct reset of this canon MP190. but none found that works for MP190. obviously CANON, don't want anyone to reset and make use of their printer but to buy instead.

To fix this problem you need to reset waste ink counter of the printer by using General Tools for Canon ip1200 series (General Tools for ip1300 & 1800 series also works on this printer)
Perform following step to reset waste ink counter:

• Enter service mode:

-Plug in power cable while holding power button.
-Press RESUME button twice

• Connect USB cable (you may also connect USB cable before entering service mode, no problem).

• Run General Tool

• Select USB port

• Click waste ink counter: Main & Platen

• Turn off the printer then turn on and run your printer as usual.
