Why the tub disengage during knead cycle

This may help solve your problem:
Bread pan removal:
I am assuming you have the type of bread machine that has
the little metal spring clips inside the oven compartment. Before inserting the pan always check on the
bottom of the pan (underneath) to see how the impeller "T" is aligned and turn
it with your fingers or turn the paddle with your fingers so the "T" will fit
into the gaps of the impeller in the bottom of the oven. Once you have aligned them then place the
pan in the oven and "pop" push the pan in place so the spring clips grab the
matching clips on the sides of the pan.
Also look to see if your pan has the word "front" stenciled in the lip
edge of the pan. If so, be sure that edge is towards the front of
the machine. If your pan still won't pop into place when you
push down your spring clips may need to be gently pulled out because they can
become "slack" over time. Take the pan
out and reach in and pull each spring clip up until you start to feel it bend a
little and bend them out. Pop your pan into place and if the clips don's start
to grab your pan repeat the process of bending the clips out and repeat that
until they do. Summary:

1)
make sure if your pan is marked "front" that it is aligned
properly

2)
make sure the paddle and the T underneath the pan aren't in
conflict with the matching drive impeller in the bottom of the oven. Just turn the paddle so they are opposite of
each other and can engage

3)
Restore the "springiness" to your clips by bending them out
with your fingers. Be careful though because the spring edges are fine edges so
get underneath them when you pull up

Making a lot of noise when mixing Sounds like the paddle is slipping.

Chances are your drive belt is failing or if you have the kind of pan that is held in by the two metal spring clips and they are loose and allowing your pan to pop up free of the impeller.

The pan keeps popping up out of the clips when the machine starts mixing.

reach in with your fingers and bend the two little clips out a little until they grip your pan snugly. Start with 1/4 " and try that. If it doesn't feel snug go another 1/4 inch.... and so on....

I can't figure out how to take the bread pan out. The instructions state to remove it and wash prior to use. There are no instructions on how to remove it.

Your pan is held in by two spring clips, one on each side of the pan. They are under tension in order to hold the pan steady while the mixing occurs. Lift the lid all they way open and grab the metal handle on the bread pan with both hands. "pop" the pan by lifting straight up with a little ****. That will cause the clips to lose their grip and your machine will kind of "pop" out. When you are ready to bake bread you may have to "pop" it back into place. Remember that.

In fact go ahead and practice popping your pan in and out so you get confident with how the little spring clips work.....so you will be ready next time you are ready to bake bread in it....Best wishes!

My paddle keeps coming off when the dough is mixing. What's up with that?

Your paddle is probably worn out and has too much play in it. Some play is necessary to get it off for cleaning but it shouldn't be so loose it is coming off during kneading.

Pan keeps popping up from base during kneading. tr444

According to the manual I have on your machine your pan is held in place by the littile metal clips on 2 sides. Are you sure that when you push your pan down into place that it "clicks". If not it may be popping up because the clips aren't engaged. Be sure you push it down well until it snaps in place. If it still pops up you may want to use some kind of tool to push the clips a little further out so they grab your pan better. Please comment back if one or both of these suggestions solves your problem. Please give me rating/ranking/ testimonial etc. if it does.....thanks djthorn55!

Pan keeps popping up during mixing cycle

Hi Michael,
Did you ever find a solution to your problem? I just started solving problems with bread machines on Fixya in the last few weeks. I own several bread machines. Please reach in your cook chamber and try bending the little clips out so they grip your pan tighter. I have suggested this to other folks with a similar problem and it worked. Please let me know if it works for you too and give me a testimonial, vote etc. if it does. Thanks!

My Black and Decker All in One Automatic breadmaker seemed to be working fine. It was making the right sounds but when it finished the bread was not mixed. The yeast was still on top with the flour and the...

Hi,
Empty the bread pan and clean it out. Put the pan and paddle back in the machine but do not add ingredients. Start the bread cycle and look in the window (or lift the lid) during the mixing cycle. You should see the paddle spinning around.. If not you probably need a new belt.

Bread pan pops out during the kneading 2 cycle

I had a similar problem after using the same machine for several years. It worked well for years and then popped off the shaft whenever I had a rather stilll dough. To solve the problem I bent the clips on each side of the bread pan that hold the pan into the machine up and toward the center of the machine. I did not use any tools to do the bending. It solved the problem. The pan no longer jumps up out of the clips and off of the shaft.
