I have two handsets and two bases on the same line. I manage to register both handsets on the first base, but as soon as I try to register them on the second base, the settings for the first base is lost. It also changes the handset numbers making internal calls impossible. The very poor manual mentions that it is possible to have multiple bases per handset...
Multiple handsets registered to one base works well.
The extra base can be used as a remote charging
dock without registering a handset.
Trying to register a handset to two bases is neither
possible nor useful.
Good luck!

OTOH, the specific model number was
not given. While I have never heard of
registering a handset to more than one base,
nor made it happen by accident, maybe we
all do "...learn something new everyday...".
What is the specific model number, and the
date of manufacture ? Thanks! a r t

The instruction manual clearly states: "Each handset can be registered with up to four bases. The preferred base can then be selected". There is also a setting on the handset to either select a preferred base or choose auto - for the strongest signal.
It will be very useful if you need to extend the range of the handsets on a large property...
Hi Francois, did you manage to register the 2nd base as a handset (4) on the first base. I have the same problem and I tried everything, but it us not possible. Hope to hear from you. Winnie
