How do I update the Google play store app

  1. Turn the phone off, wait a bit, and turn it back on. Do this outside or near a window for best results.
  2. Check your phone Settings. Is Wi-Fi enabled? Is Data enabled? If you don't have at least one of these enabled, you won't receive updates. If you only have Wi-Fi enabled, you will only receive updates when you are connected to the internet via Wi-Fi.
  3. Check Apps in your phone Settings. Make sure the Google Play Store app is enabled.
  4. Check the settings within the App itself. You can set the app to update automatically.
  • Launch the Play Store app.
  • In the upper left corner, touch the three horizontal bars next to Google Play.
  • Touch Settings (near the bottom).
  • Touch Auto-update apps and select one of the choices. I have mine set to "Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only."
If none of this works, contact your provider.

I hope this helps!

The Google play services are not working on my Tablet, how can I fix this?

Google Play Services needs to be updated from time to time. It seems to keep getting bigger and bigger. You can go into Settings - Apps and then ALL and scroll to find Google Play Services and then click on it. The screen that comes up will give you the option to clear the cache and clear the data.

First clear the cache. Then see if that solves the problem. Likely it won't. Then you can clear the data. It that doesn't work for you then click on *uninstall updates.* This will reset the Google Play Services to original factory. Reboot and make sure you have a good wi-fi connection as the Google Play Services should connect to the Google Play Store and update automatically. If it doesn't, then open the Store app and select *My Apps* *All* and scroll to Google Play Services.and click *Update*.

Note: the Store App, itself, might be slow and balky until the updated Play Services is installed and running.

Here's a hint. If you do the above and delete the updates from the Google Play Services app on your device, when you boot up your device might act balky - just give it a few minutes as it's probably connecting and downloading the Google Play Services updates automatically. Google Play Services is important for just about everything that communicates with Google so don't expect all the other Google apps to work until the updated version of Google Play Services is installed and working.

How do i get google play app

A lot of tablets come with the Google play store pre-installed and they want you to register with Google. Google doesn't like you using it's stuff if it doesn't know who you are though. Your tablet has to have an email account that's associated with you (preferably gmail) and you need to register with Google+.
If for some reason your tablet has a hissy fit and crashes and has to have all it's software reset to factory setup, you may find Google Play Store missing. You'll find how to re-install it somewhere on line, but Google may ignore your attempts if you don't register and let Google know who's setting up the tablet.

How do I reinstall the play store app on my samsung galaxy 10.1 tablet

Hi there . I would suggest going on Google and try typing in play store and download it from there if there is an option . Or if you go into settings and find the factory reset you would most likely be able to get it back with a full reset . Be sure to back up first

Extremely slow

It may be that an App that you have downloaded is causing this issue. Please uninstall if not necessary. You can also reset the tablet back to original factory settings, which will erase all of your personal data, photos, downloaded Apps, etc., but will also speed it up and stop it from freezing. Please see above for how to perform a factory data reset.

Please also download the ES Task Manager from the Google Play Store. It's free, and with the tap of a button, will close all Apps running in the background, and also clear the cache. You can run this App anytime without losing any data.

When I try to download an App, I get an ERROR that says: Error retrieving information from server. [RPC-S-5:AEC-0]. How can I get this to download apps?

Fixing RPC:S-5:AEC-0 Google Play Store Error

The Google Play / Android Market error retrieving information from server RPC:S-5:AEC-0 error message can be a bit of a pain, the RPC:S-5:AEC-0 error just randomly appeared on my tablet after it upgraded to a newer version of Android. However this is how i managed to fix the RPC:S-5:AEC-0 error with ease.
  1. Load the Settings app, click apps, then select "All"
  2. Next in the all apps view find the "Google Play Store" and click on it
  3. Now click "Clear Cache" (Not Data), then Force Stop.
  4. Next in the same app list find "Google Service Framework"
  5. Click clear data (Not Cache), then Force Stop
  6. Switch off the phone or tablet and turn it back on
  7. You should be able to download and update apps from the Google Play store once more.

Enjoy no more RPC:S-5:AEC-0 errors when downloading or updating apps.
Or Simply Go to settings/app.manager/all
Delete data + cache :
Google Play Store
Google Play-services
Google Services Framework
Hangouts
Market-feedback agent (important)
Then delete google-account(data/system/user/0/ fine the accounts.db file and cut and paste it somewhere else)
Restart the phone and then re-add google-account( paste your accounts.db file earlier to it's original location).
p/s~Your device need to be rooted to remove/delete google account without a factory reset.

enjoy and have a good day :)

What does code 912 mean? i get this when downloading apps from apps store

There are a few reasons why you would get a 912 error when downloading apps.
  • Downloading apps directly to an SD card
  • Play Store (app store) needs to be updated
  • Bad cache
The following methods could help solve the problem
Clear Cache and Reboot
  • Go to Setting >> Go to Application Setting (In some devices application setting is named as apps).
  • Go to, All the apps > >Find the Google Play Store >> Clear Data and Cache
  • Once you have clear everything, Next you need to Force Stop the application
  • Also, try to clear Cache and data of Download Manager and Google Service Framework.
  • Now, Restart your device and try to download the app.
Unmount SD Card
  • Go to Setting >> Storage >> Scroll down and select "Unmount SD card"
  • Open Google Play Store >> Download the app again that was giving you the error message
  • After successful installation, Go back to Settings >> Storage >> tap on "mount SD card"
  • If above steps didn't work, also try removing your SD card before installing.
Move app to phone
  • Go to Settings >> Go to Apps >> Select, All the apps
  • Scroll down and select the app that was giving you the error during update
  • Select "Move to phone"
  • Open Google Play Store and update the app
  • After successful installation, you can move the app back to SD card
