SOURCE: Hoover nextra 5+5 washer dryer HNWF 3135 heating broken

it is seperate heaters for wash and dry and unlikely to be connected with blocked filter tho you should check filter regularly. take top off. on manifold running across top you will see stats. one of these at least is resettable by presssing a small knob in middle and if it has gone you will hear a slight click. then check dryer manifole for build up of lint as pooir air flow can cause stat to pop. for wash heating, start by checking continuity of the wash heater located at the bottom of the tub

SOURCE: plastic piece stuck between drums

First remove power from the washer. The top panel #2 in the diagram can be removed by removing the two screws in back. The kick panel #16 also has two screws that hold it in place. From there you should be able to find what you lost. Best of luck!

SOURCE: whirlpool duet washer, inner stainless drum rubs

This sounds like a worn bearing housing or the bearing itself has packed up,either way you would have to strip and check these and replace what is broken

SOURCE: GE washer WCVH6260FWW. I thought I had a leaky

your problem is more than likely the inner drum spider that holds the inner drum onto the shaft thru the bearings to the rear to the drive pulley, you need to remove the rear access panel, the drum pulley then remove the nut and c clip, then pull drum out the front, the spiders on these are pot metal and when they corrode from water/soap/detergent and break this will let the inner drum erode the outer plastic drum, you can more than likely move the drum side to side and up and down, get this checked out as if it come loose it can fly apart in spin cycle,as for the springs, there are pins there and need to be depressed on the pin side and removed, this is the fourth G.E. washer I have found with this problem in this model

SOURCE: Help! changing drum bearing lg wm2277hw

The best way I can suggest through my own personal experience is to turn the tub upside down withthe spider shaft facing down. Hold the tub up in the air about a foot and drop the whole tub on to the ground letting the shaft hit the pavement. It may take a few times to do it but it has always worked forme.
Hope this helps.

Washer maytag front loading 4000 series assembled and runs but iwith two problems.1) residue on inner surface of door window..lint like oily paste ..gasket rubbing on inner drum?? meaning main rubber

The fault seems to be that the main seal is rubbing against and is thus producing the oily residue on the window. Now the fault seems that the drum is rubbing due to POOR ALIGNMENT or poor BEARING settings.
You need to check the PLAY on the drum and if this shakes a bit then the assembly must be reset with correct aligment and the drum must move without rubbing the rubber seals.

GE dryer DCVH515 - making noise when in use - metal rubbing? Any thoughts?

Hi peggymaag...
You have drum rollers that need lubrication or replacement...also you felt seal at the door may need to be replace if it is a metal to metal contact that is making the metal rubbing noise or it could be the drum bearing is going bad and making the metal noise you hear.
I will include a webpage so you can see your dryer and order the parts necessary for the repair of your dryer
Please take time to rate me 4 thumbs up

DRYER MODEL DE7400P FRIGIDAIRE IS MAKE NOISE LIKE RUBBING METAL HOW DO I FIX?

Hi martyski39...

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your dryer drum is mounted in the rear with a bearing, most likely the bearing is faulty and making the grinding noise, or maybe two conditions exist.
1...Bad drum bearing noisy
2...Bad drum bearing noisy, and with play in the bearing allowing the drum to rub the felt seal away at the door making metal to metal contact.Check your door for obvious rub signs...
I will include a parts house webpage link where you can look at you "exploded" view of your dryer and order parts also.

I HAVE JUST FITTED MY NEW DRIVE BELT ON MY HOOVER WASHING MACHINE HSE130M AND IT KEEPS ON SLIPPING OFF?

This is potentially very bad news I'm afraid. There are very few reasons for a belt to come off. Presuming that you are convinced it is the right size (and it probably is) Then there is a fair chance that the belt is coming off because the main bearing on the drum is worn out, allowing the inner drum (and therefore the large drive wheel on the back) to "flop about".

To test your bearings, open the door of the machine and by putting a little lifting pressure on the top of the inner drum, attempt to rock the stainless steel inner drup up and down.

The outer drum is mounted on springs and shock absorbers, so it will rock about (and it should do this) but the inner drum should not move up and down in relation to the outer drum. If the bearings are bad enough to allow the belt to dislodge then symptoms will typically include:

A clonking noise as you lift and releas the inner drum (this is the inner drum rattling on its bearings
You will have become aware of the spine cycle becoming far noisier recently and pissibly even a grinding crunching noise when the machine spins
The drum may feel like something is crunching or stopping you turning it when you spin it by hand with the door open
A leak from under the machine, which you will probably be able to trace to the back of the machine, coming from the centre of the drum. This is the result of the failing bearing allowing water to escape through the seal ar the rear

Re: rocks in machine

could well be bearings or you may have a foreign object stuck between drum and tub. if bearings, it is not an easy job and unless experienced you might be better having it done for you. recommend you get a quote first

Rocks in machine

Does the drum seem to be loose? If it is old/has been used a lot it might be the bearings holding the drum that are defect. try spinning the drum by hand and see if it makes grinding noises from where the drum is conected to the back.

Drum sounds like it's rubbing against metal

hi there....sounds as if youve got a bra wire etc trapped between the outer and inner drum..open the appliance door and carefully examine the inner drum you will possibly see the offending wire protruding from some one of the holes in the drum...it can either be removed by juggling it out or having an engineer remove it for you regards Sir Galahad

If you remove the top there is a thermal fuse on the dryer heater duct, it appears this has blown, on some versions this is resettable, you will see a small button on a thermostat, push it in if it makes a suttle clip it has reset. Regards Advisor
