If you follow the water line then it should've been installed somewhere either under your sink or behind fridge cavity. If you can't find it maybe it wasn't installed. I tend to buy some off eBay in 5 packs. They tend to have the right specs for sale. Usually give them 6 months life each then they split. Its a cheap way to get good quality water. Good luck

If anyone is looking for the Kenmore Coffee Water Filter model 69768 - Sears / Kmart re-branded the filter under the Cuisinart name making them near impossible to find under the Kenmore name. part number 9010-- substuted over to part number 4396510, says its the right part

Do you know exactly what part he changed? It sounds as though it was some sort of water flow regulator, or valve. The service person should have flushed the system prior to installing the part, and replaced the filter.

Without knowing exactly what he changed, it's hard to tell.

Ive heard horror stories where the techs replace ice maker units, and accidentally put the OLD water source filter on backwards instead of replacing the filter, and all of the contaminants end up in the new unit, and in the ice / cold water.

if you have not yet used it you will need to bleed the air out of the tank in the refrigerator hold the button in for a few mins to flush this out
