These machines are not user serviceable, no parts will be available to the general public.
Please have a trained service technician look at your machine. electrical issues and mechanisms do require service from time to time, especially with heavy use. If you use your machine frequently, have it cleaned and adjusted based on your use levels.

I have a singer model number 50 T8E99670 serial number 1120ZHC429406242. I wanted to know how old it is and needed instructions for boiling it. It’s making a squeaking noise when I so that sounds like it...

Singer has many of the manuals for their machines here: https://www.singer.com/support . The current link to the model 50 manual is https://res.cloudinary.com/singer-sewing/image/upload/fl_attachment/Singer-Website-Library/outdated_product/SINGER_50_Sewing_Machine.pdf . See page 13 for the oiling directions. Ismacs.net has information on dating Singer sewing machines here: http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-sewing-machine-serial-number-database.html . However, your numbers don't match the Singer serial numbers that I know. Most serial numbers either have no letters or one - two letters at the beginning of the number. There was a period when Singer used both a Registration and a Factory number to in the serial numbers. However, that ended before 1900 with the 12K batch.

I hope this helps.

(Note: the manual to which I provided a link indicates the model 50D with a copyright date of 1962. Singer manuals are the same for all letter suffixes.)

Why singer sewhandy 50 will not sew

It is likely extremely dirty inside. The front of the top part of the unit swings open where the light bulb resides. It is very hot when the light is on, so make sure it\'s OFF when you open it up. Look for any corrosion, dirt, etc. inside. If it\'s spic-and-span, then the problem is in the bobbin inside the door below the needle. Pull out the bobbin, search for debris or string wound around the bobbin spindle (it\'s hard to see sometimes). Clean those parts if you can. Otherwise, take to Singer dealer for repair. These are highly sensitive, precision machines that should run a lifetime or two if kept clean and dry.

Where can I buy a replacement foot controller and power cord for my singer confidence 7463?

Years ago, my second Singer [760] foot control "went", out of warranty. Singer weren't very good with parts for older models, and the sewing machine guy had to find another foot control and I had to do a lot of rewiring.

Anyway, if you go Online and look for your local Singer stockist, the part number should be there.

Light dims when you sew

the problem is that the cord that was replaced on it is too light for the sewing machine. some companies sell cords that are made with 18awg wire 18awg wire can only deliver enough electricity to run the motor sapping up all of the power from the light as soon as you push the pedal. you need to get a cord made by singer or rewire your cords with 16awg wire... 16awg wire is the standard wire for all vintage singer sewing machines it keeps the light nice and bright...... hope this helps
