My Kycodera FS4000-DN is shutting down often - now error code is: FS040. I looked it up, but do not know what needs to be done. Do I need a new cord or something? Thank you.

this error came because of the Defective harness between engine PWB and main PWB or improper connector insertion. open both board and re fix it and check ....... please mention your correct printer model in next comment so we will give you idea how to open the boards ....... restart your printer and check it ...........

most likely the drum popped out.
open the left side cover and remove the waste toner bottle..seated just above the waste toner bottle..press on the drum unit that sits above it..you will here it pop back into place .. if you hear it snap back it simply power off than back on printer....
if the drum is seated correctly.. than you need to replace the drum unit

try to upgrade the engine and main firmware to the latest versions. If this procedure does not work, then you must replace the engine pwb.
