If you are lucky, the 0xF4 error indicates a foreign object (a scrap of paper) in the gears. That would translate to PF driver mechanism overload. Another cause would be a contaminated encoder scale. However, the 0xF4 error could mean that the encoder board or the motor have failed. These errors can only be fixed by a service technician. If your printer is under warranty, you should call for service. Otherwise decide if you want to risk taking it apart and finding that you can't fix this error. It may be cheaper to replace the unit.
