You may have a burned pump belt... did you smell something on the last load?
If the belts are ok, you may be suffering from "sucked sock syndrome".. when a sock or other small item gets flung over the top of the perforated inner tub and into the outer tub, allow the item to possibly block off the tub drain. Symptom: after cycle, the tub is full or partially full of water, and may not happen on every load.
Small items that get lodged in the outer tub, can actually get pulled down in the drain hose or even into the pump. When you pull the cover off to access the drive belts, check the pump and drain hose from the tub for blockage.
If it's not in these areas, it may be floating around in the outer drum. With the top of the machine and the top of the tub off, you can fish in between the two tubs with a straightened coat hanger wire that has a a small hook bent in the end... with a little luck you should be able to pull out any rogue socks ...
good luck on this ...
let me know how you do.

This washer uses a electric pump. Strings and coins can easily stop the small inpeller. The pump comes apart for cleang. You must remove the front panel by inserting a putty knife in the tp and using downward force the front will come off.
Pull the panel towards you and simplely lift it off the bottom mount. You can now inspect that pump. Lower the drain ose into a bucket to allow as much gravity flowing water to get out before you remove the pump housing. Just unlock the tab and twist apart the pump to get the strings and such out. Have rags ready. LOL

Two things to consider....clean water or
dirty water?
Clean water usually indicates the fill valve
is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water
in all the time = new fill valve time!!
Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher
problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the
sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing
up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose.
The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem
indicates a slow house drain for that sink.
The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.
