Kyocera FS-4200dn Fuser replacement

Question edited for clarity.

This is not a fuser unit error. Why change the fuser? Was it jamming at the fuser? Change paper to a better quality and make sure it is dry. A sensor is sensing a paper jam because the paper hasn't exited the machine.

No the FK-170U fuser will not work in a printer that is compatible with the FK-150 fuser unit. I found a Kyocera FK-150 Fuser Unit available on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Kyocera-FK-150-302H493032-Kyocera/dp/B00GOO57M2 . Other sites have third-party replacements.

The FK-150 fuser is the correct fuser for the FS-1028MFP, FS-1128MFP, FS1350DN, among others. The FK-170U fits the following Kyocera printers: FS-1035 Mfp, FS-1135 Mfp, FS-1370DN and FS-1120D. There are a few other printers. The design changes means they can't be substituted.

bad fuser if the line is in the same spot and kind of a hazy back round also check to see if the toner rubs of when you touch it if it comes of its for sure a fuser but it sounds like a fuser or drum start by looking at the fuser if it looks good replace the drum if it looks bad replace the fuser

If the heat roller is dirty with "baked" toner, first you have to clean the roller with nitrocellulose thinner and immediately upgrade the printer to the latest firmware.

Be sure to power down and disconnect the power first.
A fuse it is blown within the fuser unit - replace that fuse or call a technician to do it for you.

Error code relates to the fuser unit.Suggest that it is replaced.

6120 Abnormally high fuser thermistor S temperature

The temperature of the fuser thermistor S detects 250°C/482°F or more continuously for 3 s.

Shorted fuser thermistor S.

1. Measure the resistance. If it is 0 ω, replace the fuser thermistor S.

2. Defective engine PWB.
Replace the engine PWB

It could be a fuser, drum, developer, or transport belt problem among other things. The FS-C5016N is an old model color printer and if the maintenance kit has not been replaced it probably should be. THe maintenance kit contains the items above along with a few others.

go look at the orange rollers in the back and see if the letters are etched into your fuser... if it is then replace fuser... otherwise... replace your drum

Your drum unit is not seated correctly. Look inside for a bent drum ground clip.
