I have the same issue. Replaced carb, tune up kit and will not accelerate to a suitable rpm.
Real disappointed. Had a Homelite for 12 years and worked fine. Bought a commercial duty unit and $

Echo PB-24LN is not getting fuel.

1) Remove muffler to inspect piston face for scoring. look for carbon build up in exhaust port
2) Inspect spark arrester screen for carbon plugging. If so, clean with wire brush
3) Check the impulse line or impulse hole on the carb/intake mount for gasket being installed improperly or passage being plugged.
4) Did you replace the metering needle, diaphragm, and fuel pump diaphragm.

Echo PB 251 won't run. replaced plug, gas, fuel filter, air filter. took carb a part, and cleaned with carb cleaner, used the compressed cleaner to clean out venturis/ports.

Wow! with all you have done it should run. Be sure the switch is on but if you are getting spark, it should be on. I would take it to the echo place for service.

My Echo PB-251 will not start.

I know you checked the plug, but it can fire outside the cylinder and then not fire under compression.
If you have compression, fuel, and spark at the right time you should get combustion.

Echo pb251h. Blower will only stay running if i pump primer knob. Carb was rebuilt, changed fuel filter, checked exhaust port, insulater appears to be ok, compression test around 100psi,new fuel lines and...

when the carb was "rebuilt" Did you pull out the screen and clean it out and also did you pull needle and diaphragm out and clean it out good, because if the needle is not working or the neoprene tip is swollen your needle adjustment will be out of whack, sometimes carb cleaner will make it swell up to where it won't open enough to get fuel through it....suggest you replace the needle and adjust your height of the tab to flush with the body of carb and make sure you have a good diaphragm in it along with new check-valve diaphragm, then make sure your primer is hooked up right ..it should be pulling fuel through the filter to carb and through carb and back to tank, your problem is definitely in the fuel system, keep trying different things you will figure it out

ON MY ECHO PB 230LN HAS NO POWER.SCREEN HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT OF EXAUST ,NEW CARB KIT,OLUG AND FILTTERS. STARTS FINE,IDLES BUT WONT PICK UP SPEED

I think you are on the right track with removing the screen from the exhaust, but I feel your exhaust blockage is further back...possibly in the muffler or ,most likely, in the exhaust port itself. To check, remove the muffler and visually inspect the muffler port. If it is clogged, rotate the piston to the top of the cylinder and using a dull small screwdriver, chip away at the carbon until you have it clear. don't chip too hard, you don't want to damage the piston. Use some compressed air to blow away the debris. Lower the piston and blow away any stray debris that might have ended up in the cylinder. You can test run with the muffler removed, but only for a few seconds, and it will be very loud.
If the muffler port is clear and the test run without the muffler doesn't cause a significant difference in the engine speed, then the next course is in the carburetor. Most of Echo's current products use carbs that are not adjustable, therefore the carb must be rebuilt or replaced.
Good luck!

I have a Echo PB-260L Blower. It starts fine then gradually loses power sometimes completely shutting off. I have replaced the fuel filter spark plug air filter and have cleaned the screen.

Check the exhaust port upstream from the muffler and make sure it is not restricted with carbon. Mine was less than half way covered over with carbon. Scraped out carbon, checked muffler and screen(ok), back-blow the fuel line harness including the fuel filter and fuel tank vent and took carb apart and blew out all passages, not replacing anything and now runs fine. Would not rev past high idle before. Be sure gas is FRESH and mixed at 40-50 to 1. Hope this helps.

I have a Echo PB/251 Gas Blower which I recently starting having problems keeping it to run. I have to keep the choke on to let it stay at a fast idle. I have taken the carb apert along with all gas and...

Check the muffler and/or spark arrestor screen in the muffler outlet pipe and also the engine's exhaust port behind the muffler. These are prone to carbon-clogging and the engine cannot "BREATHE" enough to reach full throttle. If all-clear in the muffler, go back in the carb and locate the inlet screen directly opposite of the inlet needle. Carefully pull it out with a pick and hold it up to a light source. If you cannot see thru it, replace it. This is another, (less) common area of obstruction.

Hope this helps,
