Please try the following steps:-

1) If you have a PC or a Laptop already connected to your wireless router. Especially if it has Windows 7 or 8/8.1 then you can get the password to your wireless router.
Or
2) Check the password below the router or let me know the make and model of your router so that i can better help you on this.

Let me know which case your case belongs to ,from above two cases.

Thanks

The password may be on a sticker on your wireless router. Unless it as changed from the default password, then you'll have to go to the manufacturers website and find the factory reset instructions for your router.

How do I reset my sigh-in Passcode

"If you forget your password, try looking at the password hint you entered when you created your password. If you still don't remember your password, you must call Kindle Customer Service for help with resetting your device. Keep in mind that when you reset your device, you will lose any personal documents, periodicals older than the past seven issues, MP3 files, and Audible files that you have not backed up."

Good luck.

How do i change my passcode on a kindle e book reader

Did you forget the password used to unlock your Kindle? If so, you'll need to reset the device to gain access. By resetting, your Kindle will be restored to factory defaults, which means your registration information and content will be removed, and all settings will return to the defaults.

To reset a Kindle Fire 1st Generation:
1. From the lock screen, slide the Unlock Bar from right to left
2. Use the keypad to enter characters into the password/PIN field four times
3. You'll be prompted to reset your Kindle Fire. Tap "Ok reset"

To reset all other Kindle Fire models:
1. From the lock screen, slide the Unlock Bar from right to left
2. Use the keypad to enter characters into the password/PIN field five times.
3. When prompted to reset your Kindle Fire, tap "Reset"

To reset a Kindle 2nd Generation, Kindle Keyboard, or Kindle DX:
1. Slide and release the power switch to turn on the device or exit sleep mode
2. Enter "resetmykindle" in the password field and press the enter key on the key pad
3. Wait several minutes while your Kindle restarts

To reset a Kindle (5-way controller):
1. Press and release the power button to turn on the device or exit sleep mode
2. Select the keyboard key once on the password screen and enter "resetmykindle" in the password field, then select "Enter"

To reset a Kindle Touch or Kindle Paperwhite:
1. Press and release the power button to turn on the device or exit sleep mode
2. Tap the password field to bring up the onscreen keyboard
3. Enter "111222777" and select "OK"

If you don't remember your Parental Controls password, you can deregister your device instead of resetting, as long as you're connected to a wireless network. You'll need to redownload your content, but items that were transferred via USB will be kept. Here's what to do:

1. Visit the Manage Your Content and Devices (www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle) page on your computer
2. Select the "Manage Your Devices" link
3. Select "Deregister" to deregister your device from your account
Sync your Kindle, then register again.

If you need help with your Wi-Fi password, please contact your Internet Service Provider or router manufacturer.

Amazon kindle registration

Just a few questions.
is your computer connected to the internet with a wireless connection, or with a cable? Is the internet connection you see on the kindle, the name of your wireless router? Did you setup the wireless connection on your kindle, using your connection name (the name you gave in on the wireless router you own) and password.
If you answered one or more of these questions with a no, first solve or change that. When you don't have the answer, because you don't know, you have to asume it is a no.
please tell us you did setup the wireless connection correct, so I can look to other possibilities.

My Kindle will reconize the network but says the password is invalid but if it was then my laptop would not be able to connect to the Internet. ? Can you solve this mystery for me? This is the first...

I am not familiar with the kindle, however your premis, " but if it was then my laptop would not be able to connect to the Internet. ?" is not exactly correct. When your network was set up someone put a password in to protect your network from having unauthorized connections to it. That password is needed by every computer that has a network card. Someone added that password to your laptop, but if I were to come into your house (invited of course) my computer would see your network name, but I would not be able to access it untill you told me your password and I entered it into my network access. What your kindle is telling you is that you must put that password into its network card, and after that it will remember it just like your laptop. Now if you were to take your kindle to McDonalds, it would not need a password and would connect up. This is because McDonalds operates an "OPEN" network that does not have a password and welcomes everybody to connect up. Remember when you use the McDonalds "OPEN" network, your session would be available to any one that wanted to snoop, and could capture what you wrote including paswords to banks, other networks etc.
