If it is really loud and noisy when on spin it will almost certainly be worn or rusty bearings. Workshop job to dismantle and replace the parts.

My kenmore 417 wahser making too much noise, it looks like the inner tub hitting the outer plastic housing. How can I fix it?

Have you tried moving the clothes around in the drum to balance the drum BEFORE you was them? If that works, you have solved the problem! Most people forget that when cloth gets wet it gets heavy so leaving the clothes unevenly placed in the drum dry will make a real problem when they get wet!

My washer model fjs1397w wont move through a wash cycle or spin drum wont go around on any cycle , tried moving it around by hand will not do anything

if you are unable to turn the drum by hand it may have ceased due to a sock or item of clothing jammed in it behind the drum this in turn may have snapped the belt

Iam getting brown spots on white shorts after washing with Kenmore front loading washing machine

If it's gunk or build up the marks should wash away. In this case run a long cycle using "affresh" or "washer fresh" with an empty load and use the hottest water available to help rinse the gunk out.

If the marks do not wash away, it could be grease due to a bearing failure. Listen for loud growling or grinding either by spinning the drum by hand or putting it into a spin cycle. If this is the case, the rear tub assembly (contains bearing) will need to be replaced. Not much can be done about the ruined clothes :(

Very Noisy Washer!

Hello julierealtor how old is the washer? Try turning the inner drum by hand and see if it is noisey or moves up and down. If so then it is either your rear support of the inner drum that has failed or the rear bearings. If it seems fine, maybe you have something in the drain pump (which runs prior to and during the spin) that is causing the noise. If it is noisy during the drain, then you may either need to clean out the pump or replace it. Hope this helps.

Kenmore front loader drum grinding

This can be a symptom of drum bearing wear. A quick check for wear is to see if the inner drum moves up and down relative to the fixed outer drum. It should only move a minute amount. If it moves more than a millimeter or two, it is probably worn bearings. Regarding the bad smell - Make a boil wash (with no clothes and detergents) put in the powder's drawer a cup of bicarbonate of soda. It should clean the machine and remove out the bad smell. Good luck!
