Check on eBay for "CP 234044". There are two for sale right now. If you slowly pry the serial number label on the back up you'll find a screw. Remove it and then the back can be slipped sideways to the bottom and removed.

The SurfLink unit has an adapter that plugs into the wall and shouldn't have any batteries.
The SurfLink remote manual says "The battery in your SurfLink Remote is not replaceable. Do not attempt to replace the battery."

I would check the price of replacing the remote and ask Batteries + Bulbs what they charge to replace the battery.

Will not keep time or my steps

Good question, are we referring to the Fitbit Zip?
If so I would remove the battery for 10 seconds then replace, this will restart the unit.

Check and replace the damaged component/s at its main power supply regulator section circuit. The sound you heard might be due to a busted capacitor. Contact any service technician. Battery does not seem to be holding charge.unit is about 3 years old time for a new battery? Is there any way to test for this

Rechargeable batteries typically have a 2-year life expectancy. The only true way to test the battery is to run it on a battery analyzer/reconditioner. This would test the battery when put under a load. However, with a three year old battery there is really no reason to test it, just replace it, it is due.

Best regards.

Not able to switch ON

This model is several years old...probably about 7 years old and the battery is probably dead from age. The easiest fix is to purchase one of the items linked below from shaveroutlet.com

CP685AVR/BF685 Power Contro.

It is likely the battery. These batteries are designed to last 3-6 years in a UPS. The good news is that if it is the battery, it is completely user replaceable and you'll have a Cyber Power unit that works just like new with a new battery. What may have happened is that the battery was weak, and you may have had a slight dip in the AC power. This caused the Cyberpower unit to switch over to the weak battery which couldn't handle the load. The unit then turned off. When you press the "ON" button, the unit will go through a self-test that checks all of the components and the unit will not turn on and be functional unless all of the components come back with a PASS, including the battery. If possible, test the battery with a voltmeter, it should read around 13.5, but not lower than 11.5v DC. However, with the unit over 3 years old, it almost certainly the battery. Here's a link to a replacement battery for the CP685AVR: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cp685avr-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Hope this helps.

Unit does not back-up (stay on-line at all) when power goes out.

If the battery is over 3 years old then it most likely needs to be replaced. Since it works fine except for when it is relying on power from the battery, then a new battery should make it just like new. http://www.batteryinternational.com/ups-batteries.html should have the battery you need. Hope that helps.

Unit went dead and then replugged in and then worked...

It would appear that you need to replace the battery on this unit
You could get a new battery from a local battery specialty store like Batteries Plus or Interstate Battery, or online at www.replacementupsbattery.com. A new battery would be about $30. If you took your old battery there, they could recycle your old one, as well as match it up with the correct one you would need (HR9-12 battery).
We have a 3 year warranty on all our battery back up units. If you have any questions, you could contact us here at CyberPower Systems Technical Support at 877-297-6937, M-F 8-5Cent., or email us at [email protected]

IMate JAM battery drained off

When I bought my Imate I had the same problem. Put the charger on it and leave it for an hour or so and check the results. Just so the backup battery gains charge.
