SOURCE: Fault with draining washing machine

hi,
verify lid switch function first. you can bypass lid switch with jumper wire. unit will not spin out if lid is open. if switch goes bad it thinks lid is open when it is actually closed

SOURCE: miele W1712 washing machine drain fault

Just had the same problem, after Much patience and persistence I found the blockage at the y piece that joins the pump to the outlet hose air trap towards the top of the machine LHS with the top and cover off.

It was clogged solid therefore no back pressure on the top little ball valve (between the air trap and the outlet) therefore no seal therefore norain therefore a drain-fault that persists regardless of a cleaned pump filter.

SOURCE: my hoover hnf7148 will not

What you need to do is select a drain only programme you should hear the pump working, if there is no sound, then then it could be a faulty pump, or it is not getting any power, to check this you would need a meter to test for voltage.

Whirlpool ADP 9620 dishwasher not working?

Is the machine still full of water? did it drain by itself?
if not, may be a blockage in the drain pump or circulating pump. Can you hear the pumps running when on drain at the start of the program? The machine will not start unless it is fully empty, as it follows a logical series of steps, and recognises when something is wrong - ie full when it should be empty, etc.
Check the drain pump, pump impeller for foreign bodies, and waste hose, the fill hoses and if you haven't done this already.
If not this it may be control pcb, motor or heater faults - but check basic issues first

Machine not draining

Can you hear the pump running just before the spin cycle, if so then I suspect a blockage in the filter or pump hose, If not and machine is quiet then it could be a faulty water pump or PCB board and you would have to call a technician.

Washer not draining , the pump has been replaced and its still not draining , drained water hose in bucket, no blockage, is it the relay?

Check drain hose first.

If you do not find any blockage, then you will need to access the pump, remove pump hose and look for blockage in there.

If there is no blockage at all, then either the water level switch, a faulty pump, a wiring problem, or a faulty timer board can be cause the machine not draining.

Water not draing away and machine is not spinning

Empty your machine manually by lowering the drain hose into a bowl or bucket. Then remove the kick plate and check the filter for blockages. Before replacing try the machine on drain to see if the pump is running, if problem persists there may be a blockage in the pipe from the drum to the pump.

Grinding noice

more then likely that the pump has some kind of blockage in it this will cause the washer not to empty fully which when it goes onto spin it will bang about due to the water going from side to side check the pump will be underneath just were the drain hose goes into the washer you will have to strip to get the blockage out once done it should work fine m8

PE235 gets stuck on draining and won't go to spin

what you have is whats called a magnetic pump it should feel jerky to rotate but should be free without locking up, this pump is designed this way to avoid little things getting blocked in it. if the pump is free from blockages and works electrically, then the pump is not a problem, the problem sounds like the motor or the motor control board pcb which is located at the side of the timer (i think on that model) first check the motor carbons for wear, the armature for signs of burning or sparking, then the module for any signs of scorching etc, difficult thing to diagnose without test equipment but you now have somewhere to start from when looking hope i have helped a little
