My hipstreet pro w10 keeps losing the bluetooth icon and it's not listed in the pc devices where it should be

The bluetooth icon keeps disappearing and I can't find it to turn it back on because it's not listed where it's supposed to be listed. I went online to find answers and followed the instrictions but where bluetooth is supposed to be it's not listed. It happened before but then just suddenly reappeared. I can't use my keyboard without it

Hello,
The best thing to do here is to back up the tablet, then reset it to factory settings.

First thing is to back up the tablet.....

First, connect the tablet to a computer
Go to your apps/settings/backup and reset
click on back up data and back up the data on the tablet to the computer.

Now reset the tablet to factory settings...
Go to settings/backup and reset and click on factory data reset.
Now click on reset tablet.

Once this is done, check for updates and then try your bluetooth keyboard.

Now go back to backup/reset and restore your backup if evrything is working. If still no good, get a new tablet.

Hope this helps!

Joe

SOURCE: I've been using windows 7 on my lenovo T61

The problem is due to incompatibility of Bluetooth drivers.
You might be able to install Microsoft Windows 7 in your Notebook but IBM doesn't release any compatible drivers for windows 7 for your Notebook. Drivers which are meant for Windows vista might work but it might have create compatbility problem in long run.

You can go to this link below and get all the drivers updates or patch for your Notebook.

http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/en/DriversDownloads/drivers.html

Or Download "Driver Genius Pro" from the link below and get driver directly for the hardware manufacturer sites. (Note :  you need to re-install the bluetooth driver or software before updating)

http://rapidshare.com/files/270454654/Driver.Genius.Pro.9.0.0.180_by.tano1221.rar.html

I recommend you do the second one first.

First, I wanna thank you for your help. my model is Hp ProBook 450 G1 window 10 64 bit when I try to on WIFI it says we can't find wireless device on this pc

at home, work or at the airport (wifi)?
wgn1, wild guess #1 , HOME ! (answering to home.
well do all things wifi fail at home or just the G1. fails?

if yes all fail, that is a wifi router problem. or forgot your log in credentials?
No only G1 fails!
did the G1 ever work for you at home everbefore??? hummmmmm
buy used, and wifi dead? (history not told)
did you know most old PCs have no wifi new this is a fact.
it must be added, called a CARD (WIFI)
2014 made, 8 years old
I see goons sell them used as new on amazoned.
still used it is.
sold new with on of these 4 HP allowed cards
HP also bans, other cards (black listed by HP. (not good that)
  • Realtek 802.11 b/g/n (1x1)
  • Meditek 802.11 b/g/n (1x1) with Bluetooth v4.0 combo
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (1 x 1 ) WiFi with Bluetooth 4.0 combo
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260AN 802.11 a/b/g/n (2 x 2) WiFi with Bluetooth 4.0 combo
test #1, go to device manager and see what wifi card is there.
or missing, totally..
the driver must be there and from HP.com or it will not work.
If w10 plug and play fails. using wired ETHERNET cable to the router
this PC never oncc came with w10 , only w7 or W8
so how did W10 get here.?
but lucky you , HP does have w10 64bit wifi drivers here, in fact, all drivers of this PC..

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-450-g1-notebook-pc/5405421

so next you ask how to get them if WIFI is dead now.
well 2 ways.
use the ethernet port to a cable same name to the router port same name.
or get the drivers, using a working internet PC and copy them to a thumb drive then move the thumb drive to dead wifi PC
and load them, ( 1 driver it is and matches 1 of 4 cards)

here is the hit list
1: the card must be there.
2: and be a HP card. (others do fail)
3: and a matching driver loaded.. card/driver/OS matched and HP matched..
4: and connect,. works. now. using proper credentials wifi

that is how the cookie crumbles..

I have the Clickfree Automatic Backup 750GB* and I cannot retrieve previous years information

10 years old now. this HDD. and will be hard to use on all versions of windows, xp up to W10 ( all use different storage folders) and is VISTA only device,
what PC?
what OS?? W10?
using what PC last year?
using what this year,?
750GB C6 2.5" Portable HD USB 3.0?
when you backup, and using w10, you must click the USB icon on the task bar , before shutting off PC, or you will lose data.
taskbar right lick usb tiny ION, pick eject Udisk.
if you do that you will never lose data on the external HDD you have. (ive done this 10,000 times now , no loss)
this act purges the data buffers, to the EXT hDd.(cache)

reading your manual now.,page 11 states

Microsoft Windows® Vista® (any editions)

• Microsoft Windows® XP (any editions)
• Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard running on an Intel processor
if I had this old device

Id low level; format it and use it like generic and normal.
HDD external.
and drag files to it
or use syncbackfree v8 to keep what I wanted data synced.

They had dream then that was in fact silly.
silly to think MS would keep directory structures the same
A FAILED IDEA.

The letters: QWERUIOP[] do not work on my Hipstreet Bluetooth Keyboard, can anyone help me to get these keys back as useful?? Thank you to all who submit an answer or suggestion, John

Remove from the tablet device and reboot. Power off the keyboard and back on. Tell tablet to search for Bluetooth devices. Press Bluetooth button on the keyboard to pair the two devices.

If that doesn't make it work, the matrix under the keys is broken and you need a new one.

I want to access bluetooth on my laptop

Click Start - All Programs - TOSHIBA - Bluetooth - Bluetooth Settings.

You may also want to look at the task bar and see if the Bluetooth Icon is there.

Most of the time with the New Toshiba laptops the icon will not appear untils you do the first top step. Once you click on Bluetooth settings your laptop will actually install the Bluetooth Module and make it available for you to pair Bluetooth devices.

"My Handheld PC" and "Recycle Bin" icons disappeared

This problem is experienced after following performance suggestions found in third-party documentation, on web sites, or in newsgroups. These suggestions instruct users to remove all folders from the desktop of Handheld PC Pro device in order to speed screen-repaint rates. Applying these same steps on a Handheld PC 2000 device causes all desktop icons to disappear. Microsoft has documented this issue (in Q289674): http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q289/6/74.ASP To restore the My Handheld PC and Recycle Bin icons on the device, follow these steps: 1. Tap Start, tap Programs, and then tap Windows Explorer. 2. Tap the My Documents folder, tap Send To on the File menu, and then tap Desktop as Shortcut. 3. "Soft" reset the MobilePro. The My Handheld PC and Recycle Bin icons should return to the desktop. Note that you must have at least one folder or shortcut on the desktop in addition to the My Handheld PC and Recycle Bin icons, or else the problem will recur.
