SOURCE: Danby Dehumidifier

I dropped the water bucket by accident on the dehumidifier, and I have the same problem. Here what I found :
First, remove the water bucket and find the circuit diagram, it is very useful.

E1 code is related to the room humidity sensor, E2 code is related to the room temperature sensor and E3 code is related to the safety thermistor sensor. If you have one of these error code displayed, you will probably have to replace the sensor.

The humidity and temp sensors are located on the same board. To access it, remove the water bucket and you will see the 2 screws holding the front panel. Remove the screws, then gently prayed the front panel. Be careful, there is two plastic clip on the top of the panel and they are really easy to break. The board is located at the top right, under the cover. The safety thermistor is located on a pipe on the right side of the dehumidifier.

SOURCE: my kenmore 50 pint dehumidifier 54501 runs but it

You need to determine what's "running". Here's why: There are three things that must be working to extract water. The 'coil' (a finned metal part that needs air to flow across its surface) may be filled with dust and obstructions, so no air can move...then no water. There is a blower motor that must move the air. If it is seized up and not blowing air...very little or no water. The compressor creates condensation from air moving across the coil (like the moisture than forms on an ice filled glass on a humid day) to extract the water from the air. If it's not working then no water.
So, if there is air blowing out of the dehumidifier the blower is working. If the air is room temp the compressor is not working. If it's real hot air, and the humidifier keeps cycling on and off quickly, the coil is dirty. Those are the 3 things that need to be working.

It looks like it is simple to get the filter out but we are finding it to be imposible. How can we take it out. It doesn't just pull down.

I have a 2002 danby dehumidifier can not find model number i need a manual or tell me how to just run the fan

They don't have a way to run just the fan. Dehumidifiers don't normally have a fan only option. That would be kind of like having a DVD player not hooked up to a TV, you put a disk in and it might start-up (spinning) in autoplay mode put you can't see it so there is no benefit. If you are just trying to circulate the air in the room a small fan would work much better.

I have lost the instructions for the danby premiere 50 pint dehumidifier. Can you please help me as I have not idea how to reset it. Is there instructions I can have access to on line

The easiest way to reset it is to Turn the unit Off and unplug it for 15 minutes. Then plug *** back in and turn it ON. During the 15 minute timeout, it should have had time to reset itself and revert back to the original factory settings. Now, you can set the controls, as you like.
