Is showing a bad swr which will only happen when transmitting. Get a swr meter and patch lead and tune your antenna for the lowest swr on channel 20 or middle frequency of your rigs frequency coverage. Easy fixed.

Any TV that has a Coaxial input can connect directly to an RF antenna. If this person lives near a large city, its likely they will receive more channels than if they live somewhere remote. Perhaps an antenna with a powered Signal Booster will improve the signal. Neither are included so I think Radio Shack has a good selection.

Radio shack has replacment attennas. There is a scew in the back of the radio below the attenna. Loosen it. the lower part of this and the attenna will come out. at the top of the base part is a screw where the attenna bends back and forth. remove this screw and take off the top of the attenna (the telescoping part of the attena) get a replacment attenna thiis length (of top part). The bottom of new attena will have a screw toward the base where it bends back and forth. Take this screw out and replace the new attenna base with the old attenna base (the new attenna base won't fit in the radio correctly) Now insert the fixed attenna back in t he super radio and tighten the screw on back of radio. I live outside the Kansas City Missouri area. I was having problems receiving one station. I decided to raise my outside attenna to get better reception. In doing so, I totally lost reception on another station. I only moved it up about 6'. I had to move the attenna back down to get that station perfect again. I still cann't get the station I'm missing but I found out that moving the attenna up/down or side to side can make a huge difference. I live about 50 miles from the stations I receive. Good Luck.

When the channels show up in red thats an indication that they are not programmed into the TV set. Your going to need the original remote, go into the menu and then press auto scan with an attenna attached to the set. If it wont scan then you have a bad microprocessor
