SOURCE: Janome 9000 willl not work when turned on

My Janome 9000 has always done that. I can prevent it by raising the needle when I first start the machine, getting it to sew quickly or raising the needle and letting the machine sit for a few minutes. I think my computer wants to warm up a minute. As you can see I.m not a technical person but it works for me.

SOURCE: Janome 9000

As a Janome Dealer, I know that the company discourages online sales as impersonal, they pride themselves on a dealer network and personal service.

Simply contact your nearest Dealer, or Janome in your home country to locate your nearest dealer who will arrange things for you.

If you contact Janome HQ in your country, they should be able to tell you which dealer is closest to you, and the part number of the ruffler foot to suit the MC 9000......

....the technicians and questioners on this site come from all over the planet, so the where to go will depend on where you are !!

SOURCE: my janome memory craft 9000 sews without pushing

Inside the foot control is a component called a supressor.......it is there to reduce or stop the "crackle" interference you may have on TV & Radio when using the machine.
It is not necessary for the functioning of the machine, but when it fails, or burns out, there is generally an acrid smell of burned plastic.....then it runs on by itself and you need to turn it off at the switch to stop it.
Best suggestion if you are not comfortable about opening electrical items, is to take it to a Janome service centre and tell them exactly what is wrong, as described above.. "a burned out suppressor, and the machine now runs by itself"
They ought to be able to do this for very little money really, it is a 2 minute job.......if it has been a while since the last service, you may wish to consider having it all done at the same time, depends on usage and budget in the end.
Let us all know how you get on.

it's definitely not suppose to be jumping ahead.
have you checked the foot your using on the machine to make sure it's on correctly?
you might also check the feed dogs to see if there in the up position, in the needle plate.
if nothing I suggests works then I agree to take it to a janome dealer & let them sew on it & see what it does with them

I have a memory craft 9000 and it has just started sewing by itself..........HELP what can I do??

When it starts sewing by itself, unplug the foot control. If it stops sewing, then the problem is in the foot control.

I have "lost" the basic sewing foot for my machine, can you please tell me what letter is on it and how it will be described on a parts replacement website

If it's a Janome 9000, the basic foot is an A. Beyond that, I don't know how it would be described, other than a long shank A foot.

I need to replace the metal bar that snaps onto the presser foot.

If you go to the Janome website of your home country they will have a dealer locator page where you can find your nearest dealer.
Explain the problem and they will be able to order the replacement part for you.
You may find that parts availability at this time of year will be restricted as many businesses and suppliers close for several weeks.
