How do i fix sharp copy machine AR5520N with error code H5?

Make sure you get all of the paper out of the machine that's jammed in it. Then you have to clear the H5-01 by doing the following at the machine's control panel:

touch P * C *
14 - then the black and white start button
Execute

the machine will reboot and it should clear the code as long as the jammed paper was removed!

The error code H5-01 is a error code for the fixing unit is not at the correct temp. You can try to rest it in service mode with mode 16....If that will not clear the code you have a problem with the thermistor or thermal fuse or the heater lamp.... Good Luck

H5 doesn't show up on the service code manual. However, all error codes beginning with 'H' are related to the fuser, this is the heating portion of the machine. Be careful if it still prints despite the error code, you may damage the unit. It should be looked at by a service rep.

Check the white area of document glass and clean it or the copy lamp is not lighting.

Check the fusing section for jam paper. (winding, etc.)

1) Copy mode key ON → Program key ON → Asterisk (*) key

To fix this you need to have the fusing unit looked at... could be various problems causing this , from bad paper to bad rollers?

I don't have that error code specifically but any error code that starts with an H has to do with the fuser section of the machine. It could be the thermistor, rollers, or the heat lamps.
