Sunbeam 2484 Beaters won't stay engaged.

The motor is great but the beaters will not lock in and then they fall out. What to do?
Thanks,
Glenn

In taking apart my same beater, I'm trying to figure out the alignment of the spring which provides the tension so that the beaters won't fall out. I'd assume that your spring has mis-aligned. You need to take it apart (3 Philips screws), and carefully pull the assembly apart. I'll bet your spring falls out like mine did. I'm trying to find a schematic from Sunbeam to see how the spring should align.

What is the difference between square beaters and round beaters for my sunbeam mixmaster

Different beater shapes were used over the years. Mostly they are optimized for the bowl shape and the power of the motor. Best results by staying with the original shape when replacing. Goodmans is a good source of beaters

1989 Sunbeam Deluxe Mixmaster mixer when I start mixing the blades come out and won't stay in.

Do you mean the beaters? Take a look near the top of the beater shaft. Does it have a slot which holds a wire ring? If the wire ring is missing, that would explain why it won't stay in. Try shopping for a new set of beaters if that's the problem.

The beaters will not stay up in my Oster stand mixmaster. The eject lever will not lock them in. Can it be fixed? Or could it be that I need new beaters because they are worn out and do not fit in

wild guess turn beater as you push in to allow the beater to engage the drive, a little like gears meshing. You should be able to feel it lock into the drive.

They need to be replaced or the locking mechanism does, but in the meantime, wind some thread around the beater end and this may keep them in temporarily.

The beaters won't go around. The motor is running

I can't solve this problem, but mine just died doing the very same thing. Motor is running, the revolving base is turning, and the beaters are just sitting there. Ruined an entire batch of divinity!

Beaters don't turn

You should try to replace the beater turners or try to fix the problem that causes the beater turners not to work.

Sunbeam hand mixer. One beater not working

That spring does not turn the beaters. It is part of the beater release assembly. Probably one of the gears is worn.
