Make sure there isn't anything binding the deck belt or blades. Check the spindles for free movenent. If all that is good then it might be the linkage that is supposed to adjust the throttle when the engine is under load or it might be a carb issue...especially if you run ethanol gas in it.

I have a 2010 John Deere 777 Riding Lawn Mower that stop cutting all of a sudden as I was mowing this morning. Do you have any idea why?

Cutting or running? Big difference..if stopped cutting most likely your belts came off the pulley or broke...have to take a look..Stopped running need more info...good luck..

I have John Deere d140. When I engage the pto to mow, there is a grinding noise that happens and won't stop unless PTO is off I changed all 3 spindles and belt but it Did not help. Any ideas?

check your idler pulleys. ipl indicates there 3 each and one different depending your serial.

L100 John Deere mower will not engage...belt seems very loose but in good condition.

L100 has a tension spring on them it may have broke or came off. If i can help any further you may call me and i will help you. I worked for john deere for several years. (831)578-4034 thanks wade

I have a John Deere X304 that mows unevenly.

Make sure that your gauge wheels are not running on the ground during mowing,they should only hit the ground when you engage a high spot on one side.also when you level the deck the front should be a 1/2" lower than the rear.
