Ur tv have a problems known as a convergence pictures problems,it is dead.Ur tv have any colors lines like R,B,G mis alignments,tv have any colors shadows pictures or have a 3D pictures look alike?Yes,than ur tv have a dead convergence board to causes the tv to have all of these pictures problems.The tv convergence board must have be repair like replacing 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.To fixed the tv convergence board to solved the tv convergence pictures problems.The tvs shops will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

We fixed this same problem as a dyi project. Check out www.tvrepairkits.com. The kit itself come with the proper chips, fuses, and very detailed instructions which includes pictures. They also have online help if you have questions. If you know how to solder and are a very careful person, this is something that you can fix yourself.

Try adjusting the convergence. If it won't move see below- red IC in particular
This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually charge between $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

replace both convergence ics.the ics are stk-110 ics.there are two of them.

You have a hardware problem, you cannot fix it using the menu. in fact you could make it worse.

Try googling DIY convergence repair if you can solder.

If not then call in a pro, about $300

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projeciton sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

Common Symptoms include....

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.
• TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right. And you should be able to get the grid straight.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a fix

CONVERGENCE SOLUTION

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses.
This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you are handy and can follow directions. You can get complete repair kits from TvRepairKits.com or click here. They have put together DIY repair kits that include the OEM parts and step by step photo instructions for each repair. If you are not handy or can't follow directions we would suggest calling a shop.

As long a the picture is not bowed you may have a convergence module bad or have to enter convergence service menu to adjust If bowed at all the convergence ic's are bad or just a resistor in the convergence circuit is out of its value. These are possibilities but it still could be the ic's

Your tv has a convergance failure. the convergance ic's need to be replaced. Upgraded part # STK392-150 or STK392-160. Both ic's should be replaced to prevent future failure of other colors.
