Talk to the landlord. They are NOT allowed to rent to you, until those debits have been paid, or until the landlord contacts the WATER/POWER company, to "reset" the account.

Funny thing about being 'awarded' the case - they can't make the person give you the money.

They will stop the harassment,stop the loan, stop interest and structure the loan in such a way that you canafford it. These finance institutions are relentless. I have been in exactlythe same situation after a car accident a few years ago I was off work foralmost a year and the banks and credit card institutions are completelyruthless. You are entitled by law, especially under duress, to write to thefinance institutions explaining your situation and asking for a suspension ofinterest and a renegotiation of payments. They will never tell you this as theysee it as a way of you getting out of the loan. Search the internet for thedebt management services here in Australia.
