this could be your t-con board, but knowing sonys it most .likely your main panel meaning your screen,

sounds like a bad inverter board.

LOD (lines of death) are a known service issue with the Sony bravia line of TV's contact Sony and cross your fingers. Wish I had better news for you. I had a 52w4100 and Sony arranged me with a service center to get it taken care of.

The A board will need replacement all audio processing is done on the A board. Your model used two different A boards but the people at www.tvcircuitboards.com can assist with determining which board you require if you send them a email from their website.

very easy there are just a few screws that hold the board to the chassis and then its a simple unplug the old boards wires then install the new board and replug the wires.

I have the same problem .took tv to a sony authorize service center for a diagnose and the result was a badmain PCB board .part price $504.87 + labor total around $705. call sony and they said "sorry out of warranty"

sounds like the lcd control board malfuntioned. call sony and im sure they will have you bring it to a repair shop at no charge
