After charging overnight I only have a white screen when I switch it on

Try this suggestion rom Amazon:

Restart your Kindle Paperwhite
Many issues with your Kindle, such as a frozen screen or issues with downloading content, can be solved by restarting your device. Help for Kindle Paperwhite (5th Generation).

Press and hold the Power button for seven seconds until the Power dialog box appears, and then tap Restart.

Note: If the Power dialog box doesn't appear, press and hold the Power button for a full 40 seconds until your device restarts.

Contact amazon and say it is faulty and that you need to return it, they should replace / repair as it is less than 1 year old.

I found my old IRulu AL101 in my closet and i plugged it in but all its doing is showing a red light

let it rest in the charger overnight, the battery has become so low it needs a firm charge first to be able to work again might be working after charging it for 1 hour even but i would still let it charge overnight..:)

Does this unit typically have an issue with the battery holding a charge? It is approx. a year old.

It loses the charge because your device consumes a lot of power to keep the screen lit up. There is no problem with the battery other than the battery size is limited due to the size of your device.

Reset my kindle,

Dead battery. If you haven't charged it for several years it dies.
Unreparable although if you call kindle customer support they may give you a discounted price on a new or refurbished current model Kindle. They'll want your old one for parts.

For the one that is not charging. Is it where it cannot hold a charge or won't make a connection all? Could be a bad battery, or could be the charge port is bent or disconnected. The white screen sounds like it has crashed and won't boot up with its "Operating System" You could try doing a hard reset on the white screen, if that does not fix it then I say it is gone for good and you would need a new one.

I did a factory reset on my A1CS fusion 5 tablet now when i switch on ijust get a flashing ANDROID screen, when i press menu it reverts back to the flashing screen

Charge it overnight and try again give it 24hrsif it don't work drain the battery until it resets it self then charge it 24+rs

Acer Iconia Tab A500 mfg. 2011, now 11 year old.
the battery is now end of life, called BAD
replace it.
11 year old batteries are no good now.
