Haier mini fridge wont get cold. The light on the inside comes on and the compressor is hot. It clicks like it want a to come. What could be wrong?

Is the compressor again getting hot once you turn the temperature down? Will the refrigerator cool if you turn the temperature to as cold as it can get? Reason I ask is I am trying to decide if it is the thermostat or a defective staryt relay. Even at the cost of parts I would be careful and sure of what you are going to do here. Haier is not well know for quality products or customer support and there are other brands names out there that will support customers much better than Haier. Not trying to say bad things about your refrigerator I just hate to see when people invest into something and then get left holding something that Haier will not help with and does to all of their customer. I have lost valuable customers because of Haiers lack of customer support.

Replace the fridge compressor with another one, try a Google search and maybe you'll find result's for your specific fridge. If all else fails, then ring up your fridge manufacturer and talk to them about your fridge, and if you still have warranty and you complain hard enough, they might just send in a new compressor.

The thermostat, which is also an ON_OFF switch has failed (@ 99% probability).

No, the little fridge doesn't have a pressure switch to turn the compressor off when freon is low. And no, auto freon is the wrong kind and it wont work in the little fridge. The freon that your little fridge uses is the stuff that all the fuss has been about (with the ozone layer), so it is not sold to appliance owners but only to licensed techs.

the compressor has an internal overlod inside of it after 115 degress it opens and wont start till it cools down below 115 unplug and try putting ice cubes on top of com pessor to cool it down otherwise it will take hours to cool off

Sounds like the compressor is not working very well the clicking is the compressor starter trying to start the compressor. May be low on freon or bad compressor. You can probaly buy one cheaper than fixing this one

The click you heard is the thermal overload. This snaps open when the compressor is too hot.
Unplug the unit for 24 hours and don't move it.
Then plug it in and see if it comes back on temp.

This could be a bad defrost timer. See if the compressor is working. If it isn`t or only works sometimes. The defrost timer could be bad. When the frig goes into the defrost cycle, turns off the compressor. It may failing to turn the compressor back on after the defrost cycle. Since it stopped defrosting at one point and started again, the defrost timer may be bad. Let me know if this was any help or if I can help any farther.

since your mini fridge is under warranty, have a technician come and take a look at it. i would say it's the damper.
