Canon PIXMA iP4600 error message string-USB002

Visit the Canon Support Website: Go to the Canon official support website at https://www.usa.canon.com.

1. Search for Your Printer Model: In the search bar, type "PIXMA iP4600" and press Enter.
2. Navigate to the Drivers & Downloads Section: Once you reach the PIXMA iP4600 product page, click on the "Drivers & Downloads" tab.

no way to solve it, you might cover pins to get printer working in fiction because it wont print at all, the only way is to change printhead

Verify the ink cartridges and perform the mantenance head cleaner mode.

This a problem that is to be sorted by the seller of the ink cartridges.

open the cartridges may be stuck off and installed
first is printer is good ofter prin out coming

Have you replaced the inks friend had same problem ink was'nt seated right took them out and refitted them error vanished.

please your pc in re instoll a printer driver cd and this printer is select to the defold printer currently setting and use.

Hello someone else here had this problem, this is what he posted: "Same problem with a Canon MP540 fresh from the box. Turned out to be the print head unit was not returning fully to the home position ie extreme right. My Fix : When the scanning unit cover is raised the print head unit moves left for access, look in the vacated area to the right, in particular the small black sponge where the head normally parks. I found a small spring jammed in beside the sponge, removed it and all is well. Don't know what the spring was meant to do but everything is working fine without it.On the MP540 the head unit now glows red, presumably meaning all is well... "

This is simply a case of the ink tanks not being pressed in hard enough. They do click in, as the manual instructs but, unless they are fully pressed in top and bottom, this problem occurs. It's a shame that the Canon manuals and even the support centre do not mention this simple solution.
