Difference between dyson belt part no 00527-01 & 00527-01-01.The numbers refer to DC 01 & DC 14 belts which may be interchangeable- are they

You may need to replace the belts or the clutch assembly.

Remove the bottom plate, then the brushroll and clutch cover. Remove the clutch and disassemble it to gain access to the belts. There are two belts in the clutch.

It has torx head screws you will need a set of them to take it apart the screw driver type will work better than the bits because they are recessed.

It sounds like a worn belt or broken belt. The belt should be fairly snug.

Sounds as if you need to replace the brush belt.

There should be 4 to six screws holding the bottom of the vac on to the vac frame. Take those out and you should see the belt and beable to remove it.
