You don't need to shake the toner. You only need to shake the toner when you install a new one. Shaking the toner to make it last later can give the copier a false toner reading.

Why does my kyocera 2026 display an error and says add toner even if I have already added toner?

because your dv unit is not agitating your toner these machines are notorious for this you can take out suspect color dv unit cover the toner hole shake the hell out of the unit smack the bottom a few times put it back in and if that works it will say adding toner it may overtone that color but running multiple copies will eventually clear the excess its best if you wrap the unit in a rag as well as cover the toner hole because toner will leak out when you shake it or replace that color dv unit but they are expensive if you don't know how to remove the dv unit try google or youtube try not to let anything come out when you shake it because there is developer as well as toner in there if you lose too much of that your unit will be worthless it wont ever be able to add enough toner to get add toner message to stop

How to replace toner cartridge

-Open the front cover
-pull the old toner cartridge out.
-Remove the new toner cartridge from its bag
-Thoroughly shake the cartridge 5 or 6 times to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge.
-Thoroughly shake the cartridge to assure maximum copies per cartridge.
-Remove the paper protecting the toner cartridge by pulling the packing tape.
-Hold the toner cartridge by the handle and slowly insert the cartridge into the opening in the printer.
-Tabs on the sides of the cartridge and corresponding grooves within the printer will guide the cartridge into the correct position until it locks into place completely.

Fade printing?

Sounds like its running out of toner. To verify this is the issue:
Remove the toner from the printer shake the toner away from clothes and carpet. Some toner may be loose and shake off replace back into printer. If it prints a couple of pages good again then it is the toner getting low.

I can not install cartridges for Model 270

To install the toner cartridge follow the following instruction:-

1) Shake the toner cartridge several times horizontally, and remove
the tape.
∗ Do not hold the shutter lever when shaking.
2) Press the lock release lever, and insert the unit completely into the
copier along the guide groove. Then fix the blue screw and the
locking screw.
∗ Dirt or dust must be removed from the toner cartridge before
installing
3) Take off the tape, and remove the shutter from the toner cartridge.

Toner empty & replace

You printer has run out of toner, you need to purchase a new toner cartridge or a re-charged toner cartridge. Re-charged toner cartridges are cheaper that a new one.
You can get a few more prints out of your empty toner cartridge by removing the toner cartridge out of the printer and shake it, don't tilt it on the end, just shake it in a horizontal position and then put it back inside the printer.
You should be able to get several more printer pages.

Toner light and error light steady

Remove the toner and shake GENTLY left to right - NOT over your rug or clothes, etc.. shake it lightly from side to side over a garbage can.. what that does is settles the toner and spreads it out so the printer thinks it is not empty.. if that removes the light, keep printing, shaking, printing until you cannot remove the light.. then buy another toner.

1422 Printing fades with use.

The only reason shaking would help, is if there was low toner or a problem with the toner cartridge, so "yes" it is the Cartridge(s) causing the problem.

Toner life end

Try removing the new toner cartridge from the machine, and shake it up and down and sideways, over a newspaper. Then, put it back in the machine and see if that helps. Sometimes, especially if the new cartridge was exposed to high temperatures or humidity before you got it, the toner SETTLES inside. Shaking it up can usually help.
