My son's Panasonic lumix has had orange juice spilled on it. it has; 'invaded'the screen and is slow to function. can it be repaired?

First off, are you sure that the battery is charged? It is definitely possible that spilling orange juice on it messed it up, but it might be all right.
Assuming the battery is charged, it is likely that the spill caused some internal damage. When you spilled on it, did you open the battery door, take the battery out, and allow the the camera to air-dry completely before turning it on? If you didn't, it is almost surely fried. If you didn't allow it to air-dry, it is likely that there was residual moisture and liquid on the internal components, and when you powered it on you likely messed them up. This is really a repair that is not worth paying for, as the cost of a new camera would be much cheaper.

It is impossible to clean it, especially when the computer was powered up when you spilled orange juice on the keyboard, it most likely shorted out some components in the keyboard.
I suggest you buy a new keyboard.

probably not. The sugars in the juice damage electronic components. sorry.

If you tried to turn on a wet camera while water was still inside, you probably fried the circuits.

If you replaced the keyboard with a Dell replacement 1501 keyboard and it still doesn’t work then yes the motherboard will probably have to be replaced. If your son spilled water on the laptop it could clear up after it completely dries. If it was juice, soft drink or sport drink the laptop could develop other issues. The syrup in these kinds of drinks don’t evaporate, they just remain there and accumulate foreign particles like dust, hair, dirt and eventually start to corrode electrical contacts like acid. Similar to the terminal posts on a car battery.

Many panasonic fx7-9 are suffering the same problem, unexplained breakage of the LCD, Panason ic have admmited this may be a manufacturing fault, try your agent for free replacement

It would be quite difficult to bring this camera back. I would suggest buying a new camera and keeping it away from the wine. Even if you did get a quote you liked and decided to get the camera repaired it is unlikely that the technician would be able to restore it to pre-wine functionality.
